Varric

"That could work pretty well- Shiny, you like dogs?"

Haliel Lightsong

I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"there you go, then. When you see us with the dog, come say hi. Talk to Carol about the dog. See what comes up."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"It would make sense that I would approach my... sister if I saw her in the park." That's the first time Haliel had stumbled over their assumed relationship... and she darts a glance at Marian before looking away when she does it.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Yeah, that makes a lot of sense," says Marian quickly. "Alright. We'll do that. I have to get going if I'm not going to be late -- I just hope I can convince them to go to the park."

As it happens, that's no trouble; as soon as she walks in the door, Beth nearly pounces her, demanding they do something with the puppy. Marian barely has to mumble something about wanting to train him on the leash before the girls are grabbing their cloaks, setting out on foot, with Marian and the pup a half-step behind.

By the time Lightsong finds them, they've laid out some snacks on a picnic blanket, Beth cajoling Carol to eat while the puppy romps between them. Marian stands further back, chatting with their chaperone and maidservant.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

"Oh, you should try this. It's a new recipe, from Toukami. They take shrimp and cut vegetables and fry them in a special batter, then roll them in rice and... there's a gently spicy sauce to dip them in. It's good, I promise." Please eat, ma'win. You lost no small bit of blood and... you aren't well.

Carver Amell

Carol looks up from the puppy, blinking as if confused about what the food is. "I'm fine," she says, turning her attention back to Hunter. He's so strong... he nearly tugged the stick from my hands twice, if I turn my attention away from him. Nobody's ever going to be able to make him mind. He's a wild creature that way.

Haliel Lightsong

Love there. In both of them. The elder's is near to spoiled with worry and frustrated... not hate. Close to it. There's a simmering hurt buried there that is gong to push her to take steps, for good and ill I think. The other... Love, but so very lost. Not just for her sister, who she is trying to force herself to care about, but for the puppy. That love is new, obviously, I knew that from Bells, but also... there is a thread of jealously there, I think. Not sure for what... perhaps the simplicity and pure joy of a newborn dog? And then there is Marian... Poor Marian, so hungry to love, so thirsty to be loved. She wants her sisters back, so very much, but she is afraid. Rejection? Being too different for them, them being too different for her? Of secrets and sins, on both sides? I hope this goes well. I hope I can help them all. I hope they can find healing and love.

I hope.

Walking over slowly but directly, Lightsong calls out softly when she's within forty feet or so. "Bells?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Bethany

Bethany sighs softly at Carol's absent refusal. Well, at least it's because she's so entrapped with the puppy. He's such a goofball. Still clumsy with those big feet. And he makes her smile. Just a little, just that ghost of a whisper, but she's smiling. That's- hmm? Looking up, she spots-

"Oh my," she murmurs, eyes widening at the gorgeous aasimar heading towards them. Shame about those heavy robes... Vestments rather. Bastionite evidently. And pleased about it, given... tabard, hem, trim, necklace and... shield? One, that's an excessive number of holy symbols. Two, who wears a shield with robes? Still, I think she might just be prettier than Shan. Not as... fun looking though. Probably super pious.

Marian Hawke

"Haliel!" calls Marian, with cheer she doesn't feel. "What are you doing here? I'm working, as you can see," she begins.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Beth starts, glancing back at the new girl. Bells. Short of Isabela maybe? Or... Belladonna I suppose. A bit sinister for one of her blood, but... then again, it can also be used for healing. And it's pretty.  Bethany shakes her head a little, annoyed at the lack of focus scant sleep and worry has given her. "Friend of yours?" she asks curiously.

Haliel Lightsong

"My little sister," the aasimar replies with a warm smile for not just Bells but also Beth and Carol. "I am Ray Lightsong, may the waters of mercy and compassion ever slake your thirst. I am well pleased to met my sister's new charge and her new charge's owners."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Ah, yes, sorry, this is Lady Carol zi'Amell, and Lady Bethany zi'Amell. And the pup is Hunter. This is my sister, Haliel Lightsong." Marian blushes a little.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Bethany

Beth nudges her sister to get her to at least look up. "Oh la, it's a pleasure to meet you. Checking up on your baby sister?" She casts a teasing grin at Bells.

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong blushes, her nerves playing up at the charade they're playing. Thankfully, it masks well as embarrassment at being caught out for fretting. "Ah, well... we're new to Nyra and... I suppose I do have a habit of... fretting." Now within a few feet of them all, she kneels and offers her hand to the pup who, in turn, goes very still for a second. Then, without warning, he lunges forward, tumbling over his own feet amidst excited yips and tail wags.
I am the Light of My Soul.
