Marian Hawke

Marian swoops down, scooping the puppy up. "Woah! Careful, Haliel, he's a nervous biter. Please don't agitate him."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

"Is not," Carol mutters, then looks at the ground, blushing. "I-- I mean -- how do you do?"

Haliel Lightsong

"You know my skin is tough enough to stop unenchanted daggers, Bells," Lightsong says amusement. "I think the puppy would be fine. Besides, he's just excited, isn't he?" she croons standing so she can reach out and let Hunter sniff her hand- which he does with great pleasure and vigor! Glancing at Carol, she smiles gently. "I do very well. I mean, I am very well." She blushes a little herself.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Yes, but I'm trying to train him out of it," chuckles Bells. "He's Miss Carol's puppy."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

"Mabari," corrects Carol, in a quiet, yet firm voice.

Haliel Lightsong

"Mabari? That's wonderful, Miss Carol. And the mortal name you gave him is Hunter? Fierce supporter and provider then?" She giggles then, eyes flashing with delight, as the pup licks her fingers.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Bethany

Oh that is delightful. Annnnd now I can't get the image of naked Shannon tickling naked Lightsong. Hate this time of month, so damn horny. Shaking her head, she tries to catch back up to the conversation.

Carver Amell

"Yes," she says softly, looking down at the pup with one of those rare smiles. "He's perfect. Strong, and fierce. Just as a Mabari should be."

Bethany

"Really seems to like you- or at least the way you taste," Beth says with a warm smile and a wink. "Mabari are said to be the cleverest of dogs, save perhaps for foo dogs."

Marian Hawke

Marian coughs, suddenly. Right. Literally. Her fingers. Stop it! Stop perving!

"That's been my experience," she manages.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"Well, he certainly is friendly and bold, isn't he? And adorable." Hunter wiggles in Marian's grip, clearly wanting to get Lightsong properly. Or maybe just be free. Or both. "How old is he?" Despite their posture and responsiveness, she directs her question directly at Carol.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Carver Amell

"About six weeks," says Carol, "Judging by his size. They said eight but I think they're wrong," she adds. Carol, contradicting someone?

Haliel Lightsong

"So young and yet so lively? I had not realize that mabari could be weaned so quickly. Though I suppose I have not given it much thought either, to be honest," Lightsong muses. "Despite our differing blood, Bells is the one that has the interest in animals. I favor father, wth song and dance."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Carver Amell

"So you only share a mother, then?" asks Carol, something sad and faraway in her eyes.

Haliel Lightsong

"Mmmh. Though in truth..." Lightsong blushes a little. "Sorry, that is... anyway, yes, we are not full sisters but we have never let that bother us. Blood has value, yes, but family comes in many forms."
I am the Light of My Soul.
