[Helene Dakesh]

Helene finishes the list, handing it over to Haliel. "Fare well, Ray Lightsong."

[Haliel Lightsong]

"I- are you sure? About... I could... clean up a little? Or maybe get you some fresh food?" 

[Helene Dakesh]

Helene shakes her head. "No food is required. This one ate last... ah... what time is it?" 

[Haliel Lightsong]

"Ah, shortly after seventh evening bell?" the paladin offers after a second's thought. 

[Helene Dakesh]

"Ah. Perhaps a snack?" Helene admits, ashamed. 

[Haliel Lightsong]

"...what time did you think it was?" Lightsong asks, arms crossing.

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one ate at noon bell," Helene says ,gesturing to the slice of meat pie with several large bites taken out of it. 

[Haliel Lightsong]

"And before that?" Lightsong prompts her, using her best big-sis voice.

[Helene Dakesh]

"This one had a muffin at six bell," asserts Helene. "This one has been partaking of adequate nutrition."

[Haliel Lightsong]

"Wrong," Lightsong says flatly. "Most of a muffin- I can see a bit less than a quarter of a muffing just there- and less than a third of a meat pie that should be eaten with a side? Neither of which have a hint of fruit or green plant? And just tea for drink, I wager. No. Up you go, we're going to the cafeteria and you're going to have a full meal."

Helene blinks. "This one is in the middle of research!"

[Haliel Lightsong]

"But not urgent research," Haliel says sweetly, the cast of her mouth firm.

[Helene Dakesh]

"Ah... no... of course not," mumbles Helene, glancing away.

[Haliel Lightsong]

"You can tell me about it, as you eat, if you like," Lightsong relents marginally. Alan always liked to share what he learned. I... I should... I should write him. See how he is. I miss him so much, all the more watching Marian pine for her sisters.
