The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Bethany

Beth stiffens, then leaps to her feet. "Then go find her!" she snarls.

Varric

"Bethany," Varric snaps. "Step back- Seeker, what do you have readied?"

Helene Dakesh

"This one can cast scrying," says Helene at once. "This one has prepared it since the last time this one's apprentice went missing."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

GamesMaster

Brianne nods. "I thought maybe anyone would have an idea where she went? I know how to get places fast if I knew where to go."

Varric

"Scry then- and if you can narrow it down, I know she still has my wand you can locate," Varric says with a crisp tone.

Helene Dakesh

Helene procures a bowl of water from Lightsong, setting up at her desk and scrying as quickly as possible. They get a shot of Marian's hip, the wand holstered at her side, as she climbs stairs against a stone wall backdrop. "Inside a stone building? Perhaps underground?" hazards Helene. "Underground but climbing," she adds, noting the stairs.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

"That stone... that's magically reinforced granite. Not residential." Varric frowns a little, trying to puzzle this out. "No decoration, steps are a bit worn... Rotate around? Thanks... window! Ah... building tops! No landmarks but-" He pales. She's at least two hundred feet up. Where in the city can... "Seeker... do you have anything else to narrow this down? Can you yes or no, hot and cold, anything?"

Helene Dakesh

Helene digs in her satchel, pulling out a velvet pouch. "Propose a plan of action occurring within the next half hour," she orders him, as she opens the pouch.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

Varric pauses, thinking quickly. "Will I find Marian if I check... the Sky Tower outside Blossom Park?" Ticket to walk to the top is three gold but... She might not care about coin right now. At the result of woe, he scowls.

Then... not open to the public, but she's a clever girl. "What if I check... the east inner wall?"

Woe.

"West inner wall?

Helene Dakesh

"Weal. Go," orders Helene, even as the last of the bones is still spinning.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Varric

Varric has already mixed an pair of infusions, though he doesn't drink either until he reaches the door out of the temple. One step, he turns invisible, and after a dozen more, his footsteps vanish. Damnit Tabby! We just- gods dammit!

Marian Hawke

The city ebbs and flows around the dwarf as he flies through it, heading at top speed toward the inner wall. He doesn't have to talk his way through the guards, not invisible, nor does he have to navigate the interior; he can just head up the outside of the wall, looking for someone who doesn't belong.

When he finds her, she's sitting on a protrusion, looking out across the city, legs dangling over empty air -- over a sharp drop. Nobody ever looks up. Interesting, that. Anything could be happening up here, and nobody even glances upward. I wonder why?
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric pauses, still invisible and hovering a few feet in front of Marian. Should I... Bit much but given that story she shared recently and her current location... Fuck it. Mixing another infusion, he drinks it down and focuses on the young woman in front of him. Or rather, on what she's thinking.

Marian Hawke

Her thoughts unfold before him, like a jewlery box with a hidden compartment and a lift-out tray: multiple layers of thought, something that since learning this infusion he's realized is quite rare indeed. Hers are neat, orderly, like a procession of sums across parchment:

Seventy-eight one twenty-five. (I wonder if that's why dragons have such an easy time hunting mortals?) Three ninety, six twenty five. (I should remember to look up more often.) Nineteen.... Nineteen, fifty two-- fifty three, one twenty five. (I wonder if I should wait for nightfall, so I don't scar anyone for life dropping out of the sky on top of them?) Six twenty five-- Ninety seven, sixty five six twenty five. (Danvers can't be better, kinder, than that center Seeker went to).
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

A flare of anger hits him and his fists tighten. After all that we've done to prove ourselves, to show how much she's needed, and she- Unable to stop himself, Varric floats over and decks the young woman in the jaw. "You stupid, selfish bitch," he snarls as he turns visible again.
