Marian Hawke

Marian winces. "Dragons are more dangerous," she grumbles, but she squats down, offering her closed hand to sniff. "Hey little guy."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

The dragonling stares at it with bemusement, then tries to grab it. Thankfully, the magical reptile is so young, the claws are still soft so it just tickles a bit. Around this time, Hunter comes barreling into the clearing with a joyous flurry of barks. Lightsong and Carol must be just seconds away...

Marian Hawke

"There's a good boy," purrs Marian, gently reaching to scratch the dragonling's neck. "Hi. Hi, how are you?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

Hunter heads straight for the baby dragon, who in turn seems to find Marian to be  fascinating, based on the wonder the dragon regards her with. And tasty, based on the licking and gentle mouthing. Lightsong arrives around then, puffing and cheeks stained red with the effort of running in sixty pounds of steel. "Wh-at is prob-lem?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

Marian stands quickly, taking the dragon up out of Hunter's reach. "Down," she barks at Hunter. "Lightsong, we have wounded over here."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

The dragon flares its wings, squawking but seems to be more excited than upset. Now much higher up, the baby starts peering around curiously.

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong nods quickly and rushes to kneel next to the elf. Wincing, she goes about healing he. "You're safe now. I am-" Undercover and stuff. Whoops. "A paladin of Bastion. You may call me Ray Shining."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Merrill

Eyes fluttering open, the elf stares up at Lightsong, then over her shoulder at Carol. Marian and Varric are just out of sight. "...hello?"

Marian Hawke

Ray shining? Really? Marian winces. Whatever. Her call on the cover name. "What happened?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Merrill

"Am I dead?" the elf asks, tone soft and almost relieved. Well, that isn't a good sign...

Marian Hawke

Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

"Some other girls were attacking her," says Carol.

Merrill

The elf flinches, looking ashamed. "I just fell," she mumbles woodenly.

Varric

"You're not in a mudpit," Varric oberserves.

Carver Amell

"I scared them off," adds Carol. "They wanted to hurt Hunter too."
