The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Carver Amell]

"Who?" asks Carol, quickly .

[Merrill]

"He's a b-bard. He tr-travels a lot." She swallows, looking back down at her lap. "He w-was at the... thing. In the v-village."

[Carver Amell]

"Is he... safe?" asks Carol, voice gentle.

[Merrill]

Merrill shrugs a little. "He's n-not around m-m-much. His app-pprent-t-tice died a while ago and... He sssings and l-laughs a lot b-but... he's s-ssad."

[Carver Amell]

Carol nods. "That's okay then."

[Bethany]

"-ke that one! The punchline is just off expectation enough that you won't expect it but it still fits," Beth is saying brightly, evidently really enjoying whatever story it was that Roland is finishing.

[NPCs]

"Why thanks right kind of you little Miss, " the elf says in his whiskey voice. "You pick up on this stuff quick and smooth. Got some bard in you, eh?"

[Carver Amell]

Carol flinches a bit, pulling her bowl back into her lap and going for a spoonful of stew. Maybe if I stay quiet they'll ignore me.

[Shisou]

Shisou grins. "Oh yes, Beth has quite the flair for storytelling."

[NPCs]

Huh. Not a bit of offence in her, not a hint of jealousy in him. Pretty clear they're together... Interesting kids. "You did pretty all right with the haggling yourself," Roland comments to Shisou. "We'll get this stuff stored up, and maybe you can introduce me around? Hate not knowing the names of them that I'll be traveling with."

[Bethany]

Beth can't quite hide the winces that comes with the idea of having to introduce someone to Carol right now. I need to figure out what I'm going to do about what she said today... But I need more time. But... Do I have more time? Can I make her wait? Doesn't she deserve to have to wait? Maybe I should talk this over with Marian or... Gods I wish I could talk to Zev right now. She doesn't even notice that she hasn't responded to Roland, lost in her own head.

[Shisou]

"Um,  yeah, I can d-do that," says Shisou, with a worried glance toward Beth.

[Merrill]

Merrill fidgets a little. "W-Who are the other t-two?" she whispers to Carol.

[NPCs]

"Who's that sitting with Merrill?" Roland asks lightly.

[Carver Amell]

"That's... um... that's my twin, and Shisou."
