The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Go Down

Haliel Lightsong

The paladin hesitates, then nods slowly.  "Understandable. Perhaps the two of us can just... Hang out for an afternoon? Maybe see if there's like a cafe or something?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"That... sounds nice. Thank you," she says, tucking some hair behind her ear.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

Haliel beams at Marian and sits back down to help finish making breakfast- she can't cook but she can play assistant easily enough. I hope everyone else's morning is going well too...
I am the Light of My Soul.

Carver Amell

As people begin to gather and eat breakfast, they naturally form small clumps: Helene and Marian, Varric with Beth and Shiori, Lightsong and Vig. Last to turn up to the campfire are Merrill and....

Carol holds her head up high, defiant, combative. Her dark brown hair is shorn fairly close to the scalp, perhaps a few inches long all over; it curls a little, the hint of her previous long waves looking all the more tomboyish. She doesn't look like a boy, exactly, not with her too-human curves, her breasts. But she looks much more masculine in her trousers and linen work shirt now that her hair's gone.

Haliel Lightsong

Lightsong notices first- Varric would normally, but he's swapping storytelling tips with Beth and Roland. So it's the kind-hearted paladin that sets the tone for reactions. "Oh! Carol, you cut your hair! Well, Miss Merrill did I suspect but-" Inane much? "It looks very becoming on you. Very..." What did Ray Lilly always say? "Dashing."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Merrill

Uncomfortable with so much attention, Merrill desperately yearns to vanish into the woods or hide under the cart but... Need to stay with Carol. Carol needs me. Needs me! I can't let her down. I can't. I can't mess this up.

Leaning around Roland a little, Beth spots her twin and- and- Oh wow. So... short.. that's... but our hair is gorgeous... why would she... does she... is it to look more different than me..?

Carver Amell

"I did," she says, voice fierce, dating anyone to challenge her . "We're meant to be in disguise so I disguised myself."

Marian Hawke

"It looks good," says Marian, trying to placate her sister. "Really neat. Merrill did a great job."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Merrill

Merrill blushes, the praise of the good sister warming her nearly as much as Carol's trust had.

Haliel Lightsong

"I think it suits you very well," Lightsong agrees firmly. "It shows your face more, the line of your jaw." She grins. "You and Marian both have the same stubborn jawline."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

"Easier to take care of too," Varric offers idly. "You thinking of going the same route at Hero of the Night here?" He cocks his head in Shisou's direction, wondering if Carol plans to disguise herself as a boy.

Carver Amell

"I--"

Now she falters, expression wavering. "Can I...?"

Vigile

"You seem to be in good spirits." Vigile nods sagely. "A proper grooming can work wonders for morale, can it not?"
I, His-paws-are-silent-but-his-growl-is-fierce-in-defense-of-the-righteous, sworn to the service of the Vigilant Protector, HE-THAT-IS-VANGAL.  Or Táchosadhachtáfháslógíocharigcosainadílis for short.

Varric

Varric shrugs. "Don't see a reason not to. People are looking for three sisters with an aasimar paladin. Not much we can do to disguise Shiny, she's a bit... distinct, but adding people and shuffling people around helps." He studies Carol for a moment. "You be okay with that role?"
