The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Go Down

Merrill

The elf shakes her head furiously. "We can- the w-woods. We can r-r-run away together. I know h-how to live there an-and- with t-two p-p-people..."

Carver Amell

But I'll still never get this form. Well... maybe. We'll find another way.

He nods. "Alright. Dont' tell anyone," he whispers. "We'll sneak away tonight."

Merrill

"Should we..." Merrill glances at the door, then steps closer and lowers her own voice. "Sh-should we... try? T-telling them? About...  I m-mean, they d-did b-b-brew the p-p-p-potion and- and-"

Carver Amell

He hesitates, chewing his lower lip. You can't trust family... but Beth... Beth might -- but then again, you trusted her to understand about Jadan and she doesn't. So maybe...

"We can't risk it," he whispers.

Marian Hawke

"Are you two going to come out?" asks Marian, tilting her head. I hope they're not fucking in there...
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Merril shifts, her expression clearly showing she disagrees. She starts to stay something, then jumps when Marian calls out. "Umm. We sh-should g-go out. Ssssee how th-they react?" Hunter whines softly, though his disagreement is because Carver stopped petting him.

Carver Amell

Carver clings to Hunter a little tighter, nodding once as he moves to step out from the bathroom.

Bethany

Beth is right by the door, lip in her teeth, as she bounces slightly on the balls of her feet. "Storm! Gods, you look really good like this. How do you feel?" she asks excitedly, eyes sparkling.

Carver Amell

"I-- Why?" he asks, frowning. "I know I can't... That it's..."

Bethany

Beth's excitement falters a little. "I- I know it won't last but..." She spins in place, eyes pinning her elder sister. Her only sister. "There's other magic, stronger magic, that doesn't wear off, right? That could make this permanent?"

Marian Hawke

Marian nods. "There's ways to make most magics permanent. We can tailor the potion, make it just right, then cast a fixative spell on it, make it last. Make it real."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Carver Amell

Carver swallows, eyes carefully searching one face, then another. They can't all think that, can they? Be willing to try?

Varric

"There are rituals as well, that can do it," Varric comments, studying the boy carefully. "Easier that way, though we'd have to get help on that. Seeks might be able to do it but easier to ask... Well, one of the very powerful druids that live in town."

Merrill

Merrill's breath catches in her throat, hand reaching out to take Carver's. So much bigger... It isn't, not really, but it feels that it is.

Carver Amell

Carver fixes his gaze on Varric. Him. Of course. Just like Gamlen -- the man knows how to lead. "I see. I suppose that would be... if I were planning to... But of course, it's folly. I understand now. Thank you for showing me."
