Go Down

Haliel Lightsong

Whimpering softly, Haliel reaches out and channels healing energy into Marian.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"if this," pants Marian, pausing to wipe her mouth. "is a migraine," she adds, swallowing as she lays back down. "I don't ever want another."

The healing takes, but it doesn't seem to produce any result.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

"If healing doesn't work, that's not an injury, it's a condition," Varric quotes.

Marian Hawke

Fear grips Marian's heart. "Am I-- forever?" she gasps out.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"I... I don't know," Haliel says weakly. "I... hold on, I'll go find a healer!" With that, she darts from the room.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

"What- what do you mean? What will be forever? The headache? Migraines can be a regular thing, but not- not constant," Varric replies, hand starting a silent tapping against his leg.

Marian Hawke

Marian lets out a small groan, squeezing her eyes shut again. Gods. I can't-- this is intolerable. How often is regular?! How long will this go on!?

Think of something else. Anything else. "Good to see you're alive," she whispers. "Both of -- Both of you."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"Rather think so ourselves. Glad you lot made it up and out intact as well," Varric replies quietly, thinking. Glancing at the window again, he swallows. "Ah... Helene, mind grabbing a cloth and dampening it? Coolness can help with the headache. And cover your eyes with it too."

Helene Dakesh

Helene nods, scurrying from the room without another word.
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Marian Hawke

Something about that tickles Marian's brain, under the pain. "I don't-- I don't recall-- how did I get here? Where is here?" she whispers.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"Healer Hall at the Oak. And, from what I understand, Shiny carried you here at a death march pace," the dwarf explains, keep his voice low and smooth.

Marian Hawke

Death mar--

Marian sits up, though she instantly regrets it. "The dragon!" she hisses. "Is she-- no, she has to be-- I just saw-- nnnn." She lays back down, slower this time, wincing.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"Down, down," he murmurs gently, not moving towards her. "Everyone is aboveground and safe. Some bruises, some scrapes, some trauma but nothing we can't heal. Shiny and Jass are just fine. Jass is the talk of the town from what I hear and Shiny is... well, when she's not here, she's being helpful around the Oak." His brow furrows. "Or painting, evidently, which is new."

Marian Hawke

"It nearly killed her," she whispers. "I had to do something-- so I did and-- and I blacked out."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.
