Varric

"Sounds about right," Varric says with a grin. "That test might help give a few ideas on which sort of direction to go towards, the end of it anyway. The last fourth of it is a series of deep probes into a small smattering of arcane subjects. Not sure what they are, I didn't break the seal yet."

Haliel Lightsong

Leaning in close, Haliel murmurs, "the core of it was only taller than me by about two feet and rail thin, but the cloud of cold... stuff was bigger than this room."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

Marian blushes, just a little. Though, as Haliel remains close, her blush deepens. Why does that make me horny? she wonders. "Alright, then. As soon as this migraine clears, we'll do the test. Well, the next morning. I can't wait to see what I'm good at."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"Mariad and wonderful," Haliel whispers, a lock of hair falling from from her ear as she leans over to tickle Marian's arm. "I have faith in that." A bit louder, she continues, "do you want to eat now? See your sibs? Rest? A combination of any or something else?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

She winces. "Maybe some broth? I'm probably going to throw up again when the pain comes back -- well, it wasn't so bad, so maybe I won't. Still, safer to have broth. And... the twins are... they're okay? Car's new body is okay?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"He goes by Carver now- an ancestral name of some kind, who also had a twin named Bethany," Varric chimes in. "Seems to be doing well, the both of them. He and Beth had a searing row four days ago but turns out it was just the thing- lacing a wound so it can heal if you will- and they seem a lot better. And Carver has a thing for the elf girl that's almost painful to watch." He frowns a little. "Not as sure about her... she seems to but..." He shrugs.

Haliel Lightsong

"She's scared," Haliel says sadly. "Not of him really, just... of everyone. Of everything. She's been hurt so often..."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Wait-- four-- what's today?"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"It's the fourteenth," Varric supplies. "Same month."

Marian Hawke

She gapes at him. "That's not possible. I've been asleep for nearly five days?!"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"In fairness, they drugged you asleep for some of it," Varric offers. "Not sure if it had an affect though, given that you sleep another ten or so hours after they stopped."

Marian Hawke

"But... but it feels like..."

Her head swims, and she winces. I remember... Darkness. Peace. Reluctance. "I... I guess I was asleep for a while," she says, hesitantly.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

Haliel looks faintly guilty- but also stubborn. "It's okay to be disoriented. Perfectly understandable really."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

Despite not wanting to miss any of this, Varric slips out of the door to find someone- quickly- to get some broth and apple slices sent up. Maybe some tea- wait, no, herbal tea.

Marian Hawke

"Yes, I..." I must have been willing -- the gods don't return the unwilling. "I'm probably just hungry."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.
