The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Go Down

Varric

"...bruise balm and..." He hesitates, thinking, then goes with, "willow bark and soothgrass pills?" The pill form is rarish, but those two ingredients are commonly used to deal with a female's monthlies.

Isabela

"Plenty of balm and willow in my line of work," she laughs, "but I'm running low on <e>grease</e> thanks to recent developments, and it never hurts to pick up womb-cleanse just in case."
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Varric

"Oh, uh, sure," Varric says with a cough. "I, uh, don't keep the later on hand but it only takes a few hours to make, I can have a season's worth for you." Voice more brisk, he then asks, "but what kind of lubricant do you need?" using the common loan word. "What smoke point or corrosion resistance?"

Isabela

"No, no, not lubricant -- <e>grease</e>. For fucking."
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Varric

Varric stares a moment. "...sure," he says flatly. That makes more sense than- ugh. "So you need something edible and wound safe, got it. Any other... qualities?" he asks uncomfortably.

Helene Dakesh

"The aim is to minimize friction," says Helene, matter-of-factly. "This one can recommend compounds proven in effectiveness."
"Explain. In detail, please and thank you."

Isabela

"...Right, what she said," says Isabela, letting a little of her discomfort show. "Anyway, I'll just go check on the others, shall I?"
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Varric

"Ne said," Varric corrects Isabela. "He said, his words, him speaking- ne said, nir words, nem speaking. And yeah, that's fine. I can have either one by tonight and the other tomorrow night- preference?" And start working on the message during...

Isabela

"I still have some of the womb-cleanse left, so the other first, if you can. Thanks." She grins. "Just let me know how much, it turns out I'm flush up these days."
"Our mistakes make us who we are"

Varric

"Yeah, sure," he mutters, attention moving back to the message in his hands. Bianca.... what the hells are you doing?

Marian Hawke

Left to her own devices, Marian Hawke never sleeps long. Even after being tired out, she rouses shortly, nightmares forcing her into wakefulness well before Isabela can return to check on her. She checks to see if Bela's left her bag, but of course she hasn't; so, she slips downstairs, thinking to eavesdrop on her sister and her sister's lover, to see what she can overhear.

She lurks just outside the parlor, not noticing her shadow crossing the open doorway as she listens to Zev tell stories of women he's seduced in Toukami -- apparently, he caused quite the stir, with no less than three noble-adjacent women fighting over him. Hmm.. And Beth's sure he's a good guy, huh?

Shiori, on the other hand, seems to be eating it up. "No! Lady Raven?!" she asks, leaning forward just a touch. "How did you escape?!"
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Zevran

"Escape?" Zevran asks with a voice filled with disbelief. "To whom do you think you speak? Zevran the Astoundingly Fanicable does not escape from beauty, he thrives. It took some work, but soon enough, the sweet Lady Raven and the spicy Lady Petals Blossoming in Moonlight were happily... meeting in the middle over their differences. The Lady Dulu, alas, was a touch too busy dealing with the results of her embezzling being uncovered to participate." Which was kinder than killing her children as I was instructed. Grief or prison, she was not in power anymore so... job complete.
Life without Passion is just another form of Slavery.

Bethany

Beth lets out a peal of laughter, leaning into Shisou. "T-t-told you he has the b-best stories," she gasps out between guffaws.

Marian Hawke

Best stories huh? This guy's obviously a Drow spy and assassin -- and not even a competent one. I'm going to have to do something about this, aren't I?

Still, she hesitates. Except... isn't this what got me killed last time? She seems happy enough. She's not asking to be rescued. My concern for her is a weakness I can't afford. Should I intervene? Or let her find out her own way, in her own time? I doubt he'll kill her -- why bother? She has nothing to offer the Drow. And if she goes missing, like I did... they'll come for her. I should leave her be.

Marian shifts a bit, taking a step further back from the doorway, toward the kitchens -- her shadow moving with her.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Shisou

Shiori giggles, cradling Beth close, but her mind isn't fully engaged in the story. She slips her hand into her lap, tapping Carbonne's back and indicating the shadow. Who's eavesdropping? Be subtle.
