The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

Go Down

Marian Hawke

"I... I thought she was my f-friend," she whispers. "But-- m-maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe Zanon s-sent her to h-help me."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"Then why would she hide who she was?" Haliel asks gently. "Or try to... entrap me as well?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

"Be-because... because..." she whispers, but she has nothing, can't bring herself to argue. "I'm a fool," she whispers, staring down at her lap.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"Easy to be fooled by someone that has the answer you need the most, even if the answer is a lie," Varric says quietly. How much of what Bianca says am I buying, just because it's her saying it? "I think we've all had... failures like that."

Marian Hawke

"Not like this," she whispers. "I let her do things, I--"

She shakes her head, as Bela pours her a tumbler of rum, and she lets go of Lightsong's hand to grip it with both of hers. After a moment to steady herself, she takes a long gulp of it, feeling it burn.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"Kink is nothing to be ashamed of," Haliel says firmly. "And... and not all of it... not all of it might have been your choice, exactly. Lilin are masters of seduction and corruption. They do not shy away from the use of charm magics or concoctions. She had a number of oils, salves and lotions- I brought them all back, just in case..."
I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

"Right, I can test them. Hells, Tabbi, you can help with it," Varric says quickly.

Marian Hawke

She shakes her head. "Some-- some time, soon. Not... not tonight."

She sips her rum again, then, and they lapse into silence. After a time, Bela tells a story -- some simple tale of a funny incident that happened in the market. It's quickly abandoned when Zev returns, when they cast the spell and secrecy settles over them.
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Haliel Lightsong

"Whatever you're up for sharing," Haliel says gently, after the silence lingers for a moment. "Or do you want me to... tell what I know?"
I am the Light of My Soul.

Marian Hawke

Marian shivers, throws back more of the rum. "Tanna... I did what she asked. Everything she asked. She marked my body, I-- I am worried the tattoos may be... more than pretty designs."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

Varric winces. "Yeah, that's... likely. Hold on," he mutters, then starts chanting. The ritualized magical detection method is... crude and awkward, taking nearly half a minute per stage, a constant verbalization and having a vastly reduced range and scope, but it does work. Eventually. "...they're magic for sure. Top one is... abjuration and conjuration, healing subschool. Plus some divination. Fuck. Bottom one has divination too, plus some... necromancy."

Haliel Lightsong

"So the front one isn't magic?" Haliel asks quietly.
I am the Light of My Soul.

Varric

"If there's one on her front, I'm not seeing it. There are... small spots, on your..." He coughs. "Two on your, ah, chest, and one... a foot or so below your belly button. Necromantic and healing conjuration."

Marian Hawke

"Piercings," she says quietly. "Removable. But the tattoos..."
Honesty. Openness. Trust. Not being stabbed in the gut with a sword.

Varric

"I had Zev get enough scrolls to last until we're done here. We can figure something out after that." He thinks a moment, then shrugs. "Worst to worst, we can get a lead cuirass for you to wear. Should block it. Heavy and uncomfortable as fuck, but..."
