The Amell Legacy: Transgressions

[Carver Amell]

"ah... yeah, I guess so?" Carver shrugs. "I got an hour now, or after lunch maybe?"

[NPCs]

"The Master does not consume food."

[Carver Amell]

"...right, right, of course not, but I do..." says Carver slowly. 

[NPCs]

The undead pauses, staring at Carver relentlessly. "Yes. Such is but one of the many flaws of the living. May my Master call upon you?"

[Carver Amell]

"Um. Like now or?"

[NPCs]

"That is acceptable."

[Carver Amell]

"Uh ,sure, okay. I'll just-- yeah, send him up."

[NPCs]

The ghost doesn't reply, instead fading back through the wall. 

[Carver Amell]

Carver gets up, righting his chair. Alright... lunch with the Lich.

[NPCs]

Less than a minute later, the same servant from before knocks on the door to his office. "Sir, sir!"

[Carver Amell]

Carver moves to open the door. "Let me guess -- a visitor? Send him up."

[NPCs]

"Ah... yes sir, of course. Shall I... send up refreshments?"

[Carver Amell]

"No; he doesn't eat." A pause. "Is there... a traditional offering or... maybe a nice smell? What did Mother do?"

[NPCs]

"I... will ask the older servants sir." He clears his throat. "But if I may? I am given to understand the Lord Sage does not... that is to say, it refuses to pretend to be living."

[Carver Amell]

"Right, uh... okay. So should I not... mention being alive? Or...?"
