[Solras, The Protector]

"Right then. Then..." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch starts to ask 'did you steal from them' before deciding to change tacks "Then get on out of here and stay out of trouble, yeah?"

He may have stolen from those... those... louses, but they didn't file a proper complaint and were prepared to do murder instead. Even if they were telling the truth they forfeited their right to justice.

He watches her a moment, tense, waiting for her words to be rescinded -- and then, just as suddenly, hops down, lightly darting past her, as if afraid to question his luck. 

[Wylde]

Wylde sighs. "We could have brought him in for the theft the other day, you know," she says, watching him pass.

[Solras, The Protector]

"No, Not after rescuing him from being murdered." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch states coldly, starting to shiver as the fire of hate collapses and her adrenaline rush fades "If he wastes this change and steals again there will be no forgiveness, but for today, after what those jhradj kek tried to do to him.... today is..." her voice fades, the shivering taking over for a moment as she forces her hammering heart back under control.

Looks like Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch was bluffing just as much as Wylde, to have this sort of reaction she must have been terrified to face down those men and dogs with nothing but her baton, and her anger.

[Wylde]

Wylde drapes an easy arm around Solras, imparting some comfort with the touch. "Yeah. And those dogs had to be magic -- they're too big and too obedient. I didn't like those odds and they knew it."

"Not magic." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch counters "Just well trained."

Then, employing the time honored technique of changing the subject to avoid something uncomfortable she asks a question

"So, since you were on time today I assume the Morning Rooster worked?"

[Wylde]

"Yup," says Wylde, nodding. Definitely magic dogs, she decides, but doesn't argue. "Worked like a charm. I'm a new woman now, I'm bound to get back on track with Vallen."

"And you're not going to tell me any details? And after all the time i spent making sure you didn't get lost or scared away before you got one? I am disapopointed"

[Wylde]

"hah," she remarks. "I know what purchase you want details of," she teases.

[Solras, The Protector]

THe briefest temptation to deny the accusation crosses her mind, but no, that's not right. She does want to know after all "And?"

[Wylde]

Wylde's grin only grows. "Definitely worth every copper."

[Solras, The Protector]

"I know it was, that's not new information." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch quips. "So make with the details, or punch me and tell me to mind my own business. Either or."

[Wylde]

Wylde sighs happily. "Do you know how hard it is to find a proper knot in this city? There's like, what, ten fox-men and that's it?"

[Solras, The Protector]

"Thirteen." Solras, Daughter of Umdor, and Elder Private of the Watch corrects "a family of six arrived on the caravan from Glaley last week, though the two sons are rather young for you to be interested in."

[Wylde]

"Bah, I'm not going to break up any families," she chuckles. "I'm just saying, sometimes a girl likes to be full up, you know?"
