Guards and Order

[Solras, The Protector]

"Indeed? Alright then." and she turns to the uncomfortable frog marched feline "Can I assume that your friends here have told you why they are so interested in introducing you to the Guard? And if so are their words correct?" Solras, The Protector believes Adonis, but it is always best to have the suspect confirm things in their own voice. Holds up much better in the magistrate's court that way.

[GamesMaster]

The feline sneers, a female voice coming out: "I didn't do anything wrong."

"You know better than to pick a fight," one of the others growls. 

"Barfights happen all the time, there's no harm in it!"

[Solras, The Protector]

"Right, Well The law is the law..." However unjust it may be, it's not ours to change.... "Wylde, Relieve these civilians of their prisoner, and give them a receipt for him. We'll take him back to the Captain with our other miscreants. Let the Magistrate sort them all out. Thank you." She bows to Adonis, a show of respect.

[GamesMaster]

Adonis bows in response as Wylde steps up to take the feline into custody. And with that they make their way back to the guard station...

[GamesMaster]

"Sir!" says Private Ioannis, saluting as he stands at Aveline's left side, a few short blocks away and not half an hour later. "Sir, there's a situation back at the guard house. It's Squad Three. They've returned early, um, and apparently the Corporal is under arrest?" 

[Aveline Vallen]

Vallen pauses mid word and slowly lifts her gaze from the report she was reading. "Beg pardon?"

[GamesMaster]

"They've arrested the Corporal and some of his men and returned early. Something about honor?"

[Aveline Vallen]

"For what charge?" Vallen tries to keep her voice even. It's not even been two hours? What did they catch him doing that was clear and severe enough for them to take such a bold action?

[GamesMaster]

"I'm not sure," admits Ioannis. "Maybe you should go ask him, he's in lockup downstairs."

[Aveline Vallen]

With a sigh, Vallen glances back down at her report. "Alright, send for Sgt. Puiathia to take over here." A few minutes later, she's heading down to lockup.

[Wylde]

A few minutes later, Wylde perks up, nodding to Solras. "Sarge's coming."

[Solras, The Protector]

Solras the Protect nods. She's been shaking since tey got back, her nerves keeping her chainmail tinkling, making it impossible to hide. She knew what she did was right to do, and it was correct.... but was it within her orders to do? was it legal?

[Aveline Vallen]

Vallen strides into the room, her best blank expression welded in place. She points at Wylde, then barks out, "report! From the beginning, be detailed and don't so much as glance at Elder Private Solras for a cue, understood? Good!"

[Wylde]

Wylde winces a little. "Right. So the Corporal brought us to a cathou-- uh, a brothel, and he ordered us to search the place thoroughly, along with all the staff. Solras suggested he and she search the rooms while everyone else stay in the lobby in case one of them tries to run, and he refused, instead ordering me and her to stay in the lobby instead. I was planning-- well nevermind that. Solras told him you ordered her not to let anyone enter a residence alone, and when he said she was out of line, she arrested him. Uh. We arrested him. I wasn't going to let her-- anyway."

[Aveline Vallen]

I ordered? That's just standard protocol, Wylde, which you should know by now. Still, she supposes Wylde likely isn't the only recruit that considers it far more important that their training sergeant shouted something over that thing being guard procedure. "I see. Elder Private Solras, same thing."
