Guards and Order

[Aveline Vallen]

Before Solars reaches Wylde, Vallen already has her shield out and on her arm. She does not, however, draw her sword yet. "Wylde, attention," she barks, absolute command steeling her voice.

[Wylde]

Wylde, flinching away from Solras, turns her full and complete attention to Vallen -- ears prick forward, intense gaze focuses entirely on Aveline's face. 

[Aveline Vallen]

Snapping a finger at the ground, Aveline commands Wylde, "down!"

[Wylde]

Wylde squats, putting her hands on the ground between her knees, tail still pressed up against her belly and focus still on Aveline. 

[Aveline Vallen]

Vallen pins Wylde with a hard look, silent for a few heartbeats. "Report," she demands, defaulting to habit and training.

[Wylde]

Wylde whines. "Sorry, sorry, Solras got angry and it startled me."

[Solras, The Protector]

Solras does not deny being angry, but that anger was never directed at Wylde, or the Sergeant really, as frustrating as.... No. Protect. Hug. ... Hug?  As good an idea as Solras the Protector can come up with right now.

[Wylde]

Wylde yelps, stumbling over onto her butt. What the-- hug?! We hug now?!

[Aveline Vallen]

"Solras, give her space," Vallen barks. "Don't startle or crowd a dog when they're upset or agitated." A beat. "My apologies Wylde, I meant no offense." Given that Vallen is probably basing her interactions right now on her mabari Beka, it's not nearly as insulting as it could be.

[Solras, The Protector]

Solras the protector glares at Aveline. Is not Dog! Is Friend! but she does back up as ordered. More because of Wylde's reaction than Aveline's order, but still she does give Wylde room.

[Wylde]

Wylde gives a few whimpers, ears flat back against her fur. Hair. That's hair. 

[Aveline Vallen]

"Are you in control?" Vallen asks, tone still firm but non-aggressive. 

[Wylde]

"Yes, sir. I am in control, sir."

[Aveline Vallen]

She studies the evident werewolf a moment longer, then nods slowly. "Explain-- wait, no, don't. You're suspended, which means that I don't need to know about what you're doing as long as you're not breaking any laws. The regulation about registering as cursed is irrelevant right now because you're technically not a guard. I'm very carefully not going to consider how long you've been as such, understood?"

[Wylde]

"Got it, and thank you," says Wylde, one ear flicking. "I'm sorry I let you down, sir. I never meant to."
