The Midnight Prince

[Rokag]

"He was going to.." She made a kinda disgusted face. "He was gonna hurt you and I wasn't going to just...fucking sit there and hear that happen. Look, I KNOW, it's dumb and it could have screwed things but I...just moved." She looked at her hand and away, hoping she wouldn't bring up the cold sword she'd made.

[GamesMaster]

"...help me lift him," says Kuronue quietly, after a moment, choosing not to comment on the sword.

"I've arranged the oracle to drop by tomorrow," she says quietly. "I'll have a word with him about Shisou. Maybe he can tell at least what's wrong." 

[Rokag]

Rokag helped lift Indou as...carefully as she dared. "Be careful about that. I'm pretty sure either he knows what happened or he's taking advantage of it." Rokag laid Indou out on the bed. "Shisou keeps telling me nothing is wrong, but it's not...really like him, ya know?"

[GamesMaster]

"I understand. You know my son well, I will trust your judgement." Kuronue sighs, looking down at Indou as he lays on the bed. "You know, I never wanted to be this.... I wanted to be a good mother to my triplets. I wanted to be able to protect them, to nurture them. I never wanted to be sickly and weak, letting their stepfather tyrannize them and control them. But I suppose Zanon didn't much care what I wanted."

[Rokag]

Rokag frowned. "...so...there isn't anything these healers could do for you?" Or that her old partner would know how to fix? "I...kinda owe you a lot and I don't know how to equal that out." Not to mention she wasn't sure about being a mother...she wasn't sure she liked the idea, but she couldn't fucking change that now, could she.

"S-sorry. You don't need that and this is already a mess. I should worry about getting Shiori fixed and then him and THEN figuring out how to pay you back."

[GamesMaster]

"There's nothing the healers can do, no. I've seen healers. It would take greater magic than we can afford to cure what ills me, not for someone like me. Someone young and promising like you could have the moon, I suppose."

[Rokag]

That got something of a laugh. "I mean, as long as you want something cold or dead, I guess." Rokag shrugged. "Pretty sure they'd rather be able to cure you than me if that was the case. The only one that doesn't like you here is probably him." she indicated towards Indou.

[GamesMaster]

"My children like me?" she asks, sounding... startled. 

[Rokag]

"....Well, I know Shisou and Seiya do." Rokag had to hesitate for a moment. "I..don't know exactly how Tsuki feels other than angry, tho I kinda get that."

[GamesMaster]

"I was most like her as a child," confesses Kuronue. "Seiya... I worry that she is not faring well in her new home. Did you get the impression she was happy?"

[Rokag]

"I...think she's scared. I..." Rokag sighed. "Still am trying to figure out what to do for her, too. She didn't need to help me, and what they did is too fucking much."

[GamesMaster]

"What they did?" asks Kuronue, quietly. 

[Rokag]

Rokag blinked a few moments. "...Fuck." Shit, why in the fuck would I think she KNEW about.. "Um..so...She gave me a pretty big warning at the wedding. That I needed to get pregnant soon."

[GamesMaster]

"As opposed to your thought that you could dally forever?" asks Kuronue, dryly. "What did she say?"

[Rokag]

Rokag took a moment before sighing....which was odd. Most of the time the girl was fairly direct. "She...said that they had a ritual to make sure she would be pregnant with an outblood. And that I needed to be pregnant as soon as possible."
