The Midnight Prince

[Shisou]

"N-n-n-no," he stammers. "I'm f-f-f--ffine," he adds, swallowing. "I-- I h-h-hate how I s-s-sound. I d-d-d-didn't w-w-want to... r-r-r-ruin th-things."

[Rokag]

"it would have taken more than that to change my mind." Rokag smiled a little. "I was worried about getting startled and flooding the room or something. I....kinda had a dream about that." It'd been more a nightmare and she was leaving out the mass of eels that tried to strangle the life out of her, or the thin sheet of ice on her sleeping mat when she woke up, but those weren't important, right?

[Shisou]

"R-r-r-rreally?" 

[Rokag]

"Well....yeah. it's just stuttering." Rokag shrugged a little. "You don't mind me being merikos. You don't even seem to care that I have scars and shit. Or how I talk....so why is stuttering going to make me suddenly hate this idea."

Rokag made a face. "The feeling of...stuff in there is weird, but I can deal with it."

[Shisou]

"G-g-g-good w-w-w-w-weir-rd?" he asks, hesitantly. 

[Rokag]

"I mean, kinda? I probably should have asked how long you're supposed to lay on your back because it's kinda...leaking out a little."

[Shisou]

"Y-y-you'll w-w-want a b-b-bath a-after. It h-h-helps. Um, i have some s-s-salve that m-might h-h-help if you're s-s-s-ore."

[Rokag]

"Not sore just...it's different than I thought it'd be." She gave a shrug. "Should we both bathe or something? I'm not really sure what you're supposed to do after."

[Shisou]

"Uh," offers Shisou. "I u-u-u-u-usually h-h-had to sn-sneak h-home."

[Rokag]

"Ah...um....." Rokag blushes. "Right I...what...does that feel like. I mean for you. I..." She sighs. "Sorry, that doesn't make any fucking sense. Never mind."

[Shisou]

Shisou makes a soft noise of sympathy, cuddling up to Rokag a little more. After a few minutes, he adds, "I sh-sh-sh-should g-g-g-o... I th-th-th-think."

[Rokag]

"Right." Rokag gave something of a shiver. "And I should try that bath you mentioned." She could FEEL things sticking together and that was definitely unplesant. "Probably don't want you staying since we're not married yet."

[Shisou]

Shisou nods again, finally sitting up. "I... th-th-th-th-ank y-you. F-f-f-for being... F-f-f-f-for b-being so s-sweet."

[Rokag]

THAT got a chuckle from Rokag. "I'm not sweet....but you're nice. Nicer than most I've had to be around, so....it's kinda worth it to try being nice, right?" She didn't think she was any amount of 'sweet'. At least not how people seemed to use it. She swore, was way too direct about some shit, but completely lost in other points. She couldn't even get dressed in all that shit without some assistance or risking ripping anything. She was just...built wrong. But it was HER build, and damned if she was going to feel bad about one of the few things she had to remember her mom by.

She sat up, reflexively moving to cover herself. "So....do you still want to practice tomorrow, or do you need to go out and patrol?"

[Shisou]

"I sh-sh-sh-should p-p-p-a-- m-m-m-maybe I'll g-g-go o-out t-t--tonight a-a-an w-we c-can p-p-p-practice tom-m-m-orrow?"
