"Um...how long..shit, what is even going to happen first?" She shakes her head. "M-my apologies, I just...how good is that test. Are you sure?" Rokag took another long drink of water. "Is there a chance that it's wrong?" And that guy's going to try his other fucking plan

[GamesMaster]

"No, no chance it's wrong," he says, kindly. "It would be... well. Exceedingly rare for such a thing to happen." He pauses, looking her over more closely. "Though, it can happen sometimes that the babe doesn't make it to term. Especially when there's some abuse to the mother, that puts her under stress. Is anything like that going on at home?"

[Rokag]

Fuck if that was go- Rokag shook her head. "N-no. I just...I didn't want to give the news and it be...not true." She gave a long breath.

[GamesMaster]

"Alright," he says, seeming a little relieved. "That's good to know. Well, you're going to start gaining some weight. It won't all be around your middle, either -- your body will begin storing calories to ensure the babe makes it. We're going to put you on a nutrient-rich diet for the baby, so be sure to finish all your meals. It will be more than you're used to, but very soon you'll be hungrier than you're used to as well, so it will balance out. You may also become nauseated in the mornings, and throw up from time to time. That's perfectly normal. The things to watch out for are any sign of bleeding down there -- if you find you've got your menses, you must absolutely call for help immediately. There's still a chance at that point, but only if you get help right away. Understand?"

When she nods, he continues. "You'll notice other changes. Your breasts will get larger and become more tender. Many women find that their wedding night is more pleasurable for them than other nights with their husband because of that. You may feel bloated and moodier than normal. You may find certain smells or foods trigger nausea or aversions in you that didn't before. You will find that you need to pee more often, because the pressure of the babe on your bladder. Some women find that they are more sexual when they are pregnant, and others find they are less so. Some women get constipated or heartburn. Some women get headaches. That's all in the first third of pregnancy or so, when the most unfamiliar changes begin."

Rokag nodded along and sipped her water. She tried very hard to concentrate on that and not hte pit in her stomach that seemed to have opened up as the healer went through...all of that. She could feel her stomach turning at around 'larger breasts' and was again planning her escape around 'moodier' "A-and all that...happens?" she looked a little shakey

"Oh yes. It's one of Astea's most amazing miracles. Wait until the second trimester, when you can feel the babe moving around inside you, kicking and stretching and hiccoughing... some women would spend their whole lives pregnant if they could."

[Rokag]

They sound like they're posessed or something like that. Rokag shudders a little..."But...that happens near the end, right? Not...the whole time?"

[GamesMaster]

"About halfway through. If you've been blessed, it will be the latter two years or so."

[Rokag]

"Tw...two years?" Rokag Found that she suddeenly didn't have much water, and her cup felt rather chilled.

[GamesMaster]

"Breathe, mama. You're gonna be okay. You're strong, and you have nice wide hips. You're gonna be fine."

[Rokag]

Why the fuck does he keep talking about wide hi- "Oh gods, how big could it BE?!"

[GamesMaster]

"Surely you've seen babies before?" He gestures with his hands roughly the size of a newborn human. "It will have to come out the way it went in, so to speak. Sometimes, with women with narrow hips, we have to break them to make room to let the babe out. But with wide hips, that's not likely."

[Rokag]

Rokag took another moment to drink water, surprised that it wasn't pouring. Is he trying to make some kinda joke?! She still felt warm and flush. "W-why would you break them like that?"

[GamesMaster]

"Well now, babes vary in size, you see. And sometimes they want to come sideways. But you won't have that kind of problem, I can tell already. You're a strong woman, you can handle the pain, and with hips like those I'm sure you'll have an easy birth. Only a few hours, at most."

[Rokag]

"Hours." Rokag stared at the healer for a few moments "So...that just...goes on for hours and then sometimes you have to break people's hips." She starts to sag a little in her seat. ""Um...I...there's...something's warm."
