Go Down

Rokag

Probably helped there wasn't much to find. Plus, why would you trust HIM to be a good judge of someone? "Guess we will see, depending on what the b-baby is going to be."

GamesMaster

"Yes." She studies Rokag closely. "What will you do if it is, say, an orc?"

Rokag

"Sleep carefully" She took another sip of her tea. "And hope no one get's desperate to have us try again."

GamesMaster

"You will be expected to do your duty, of course. Are you no longer willing?"

Rokag

"I'm willing. I just also..." Not wild about going through all that twice. "Worried that someone would try to make sure the next was outblooded."

GamesMaster

"It doesn't work well," she says, dismissively. "Whenever our family has tried, we have lost the babe, and in some cases, the mother. There's no cheating the gods."

Rokag

"I wouldn't try, accidental or otherwise." She took a sip. "If my ancestors left me anything, it was knowing when something was bound to get me killed."

GamesMaster

"Precisely." She pauses to sip her tea. "Then again, no-one has accused my husband of being overly intelligent."

Rokag

Rokag had to stop to stifle the smile. She didn't KNOW this woman, so getting too comfortable could be a trap. Still..."He does seem to like trying to get people to attack him."

GamesMaster

"It's foolish to do so. He's more dangerous than he appears."

Rokag

No shit. Rokag had long since decided Indou was dangerous. The man was crass and did whatever he wanted, so either everyone else thought he was dangerous (which was possible) or he actually COULD fight, meaning that just jumping at him was a bad idea.

"I didn't say that I would. He's still here, after all." Rokag shuddered a second. "...I guess It doesn't matter too much to say now, but I used to think the shore was the more dangerous of the places to be in Tokami."

GamesMaster

"The shore? Did you live there?" Now she seems... interested.

Rokag

Rokag was a little surprised in the interest, considering she figured this would be the point where she was shown the...acutally she didn't WANT to know what they did to people they kicked out. "Um...for the most part, yeah. At least till about a year ago."

GamesMaster

"Which part? Near Haverton?" she asks, naming one of the psuedo-villages camped along the shore. "Or more toward Kyoto?"

Rokag

"Um..Kyoto. I..." Rokag looks away. "Kinda had to go through a lot to get here. I was lucky to get work in the menagerie." Especially since apparently you can't fucking work here unless you have some kinda record. She frowned a little. "But...how do you know about Haverton? Everyone I've ever mentioned stuff about the shore to acts like it's just a bunch of people in tents." Not that there wasn't tents, or that she'd never slept in an abandoned one that she patched with some reeds.
