The Midnight Prince

[Shisou]

"Tie a ribbon around the fence around the lizard enclosure," she offers. "If I see it, I'll check for a message behind the healing hall. There's a loose board, right along the leftmost edge. Third from the bottom."

[Rokag]

"...." Rokag tried to give her a closer look. She HAS to be someone that works there, right? How in the hells would she even know about something like that. And that has her noticing that she seemed way too smooth to be fighting demons and the li- Rokag sits back away from her and looks out towards the water. "T-thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I-I should probably be heading back. You're probably out here doing something and I've been sitting in your boat this whole time."

[Shisou]

"Honestly? I'm off duty tonight. This is just... me time." She shrugs. "I didn't mind the company. I get...broody, being alone with just Carbonne for too long."

[Rokag]

"I mean....I guess...and most of the girls in the barracks would probably be jealous if me meeting you twice if they actually would believe me. Well, except for Futaami, but she think's you're spying from Flower Fruit island." Which would be the home of the Kong Family, tracing their lineage back to a particularly spirited elder that had been a Vanara who's blood had mixed with Ifrits. "She says it's all the jumping around you apparently do."

[Shisou]

"Hah! And what, I got ill and my fur fell out?" she asks, pleased. 

[Rokag]

"No, that their blood is more thinned out than they want people to know. She didn't answer about where the tail would be when Kisara asked." Rokag chuckled a little. "Which was when I asked what SHE thought you were, and she said you were a spirit of Toukami that protects women who have a great destiny....which was about when she started complaining that you hadn't visited her so she could try and wed one of the Tora boys." She rolled her eyes. "Don't see what the big deal is with them, tho. I mean, I guess they're nice-looking but they can't be all THAT good."

[Shisou]

"It's not about destiny. All women deserve to be protected. But... Carbonne's the spirit, not me. I'm just a g-irl, ordinary and human."

[Rokag]

"Pretty sure ordinary girls don't go fighting demons and talking to lizards." There's a bit of a laugh to her tone.

[Shisou]

"Anyone could use my amulet, if Carbonne picked them. I'm nothing special." She smiles. 

[Rokag]

"Okay, but most here would probably have kicked me out of their boat for not having a family name. So that's back to you, again."

[Shisou]

"My name isn't worth much either," she admits. The first name anyway.

[Rokag]

"Well, you ahve people talking about you...so who knows. Maybe it will be. Maybe the Emperor will actually make you part of his royal guard or something."

[Shisou]

"Hah! No thank you," she jokes. "I'm not up for that."

[Rokag]

"You wouldn't rather patrol the palace? I hear they have ponds with huge fish that just replenish themselves and there's a dragon that lives under the island."

[Shisou]

"I've seen noble ladies, and I've seen poor ladies. And do you know what? Noble ladies often seem like they're more restricted. The cage is lined with gold, but it's half the size."
