"Apparently He pays more attention to us Shards than to normal folk."

[Zevran]

"Did He explain why?" Zevran asks, half curious and half dubious.

[GamesMaster]

"Probably because we're more important in the long run."

[Zevran]

So no, He didn't, likely because He didn't actually say any of that and you're just assuming. "Sounds like He disagrees," Zevran notes, then frowns. "But this is all digression."

[GamesMaster]

"My point is, I'm not going to that sadist's home again and you can't make me."

[Zevran]

"Okay." 

[GamesMaster]

"I said you can't-- wait. Okay?" Xe eyes Zevran suspiciously. 

[Zevran]

Zevran nods agreeably as he turns the necklace over in his hands, inspecting it closely, something he's not really bothered to do before now. "Okay," he repeats easily. Kind of... gaudy, if I am to be honest.

[GamesMaster]

"So you'll help me get back to Toukami or...?"

[Zevran]

"You only weight, what, two pounds at most?" Zevran shrugs. "Should be able to ship for you for a gold, give or take."

[GamesMaster]

"...I suppose." Carbonne eyes Zevran again, waiting for the other shoe to drop. 

[Zevran]

Zevran just nods, the matter settled as far as he cares for now, and slips the amulet into his pocket to look over later. I wonder if Isabela or Coquette might be able to shed any light on the object? They have a surprising array of skills and talents between them all. Musing that over, he moves to take a seat at the foot of the bed, studying the sleeping, or possibly merely dozing, Shisou. 

[GamesMaster]

"Hey, give that back," Carbonne notes as he pockets the amulet. "I'm going to need it."

[Zevran]

"Rather difficult to have Raplin examine it if I do not have it," Zevran replies with a shrug, then reaches out to lay a hand on Shisou's ankle. "Shisou? Are you awake yet?" he asks gently.

[Shisou]

"You can't send me without it, you know. I'll just reappear next to it hopping mad at you," Carbonne warns. 

Shisou flicks his eyes toward Zevran, opening them, but doesn't bother to speak. Why would he? There's no point.
