"...ultimately, it's you at most risk, so it should be your choice," Jass answers after a moment.

[GamesMaster]

Tsuki bites her lower lip. "Let me speak with mother first, then."

[Jassinth]

"Of course," Jass says imply, nodding. "Is..." His eyes flick to the rope still dangling around her neck. "That going to happen again?" he asks bluntly.

[GamesMaster]

"Only if there's no other way." She reaches up, then, and loosens the noose, taking it off. 

[Jassinth]

"Might I suggest killing your husband instead?" Jass replies dryly. "Even if you get caught and executed, at least he's dead first. Hells, try and take out your sister's husband while your at it."

[GamesMaster]

She gives a bitter laugh, but there's at least a little mirth in it. "I suppose you're right."

[Jassinth]

"Of course I am," Jass says with mock affront. "How could someone as pretty as me be wrong about something?"

[GamesMaster]

She sighs then, mirth fading. "I suppose we should go eat."

[Jassinth]

"You should," Jass agrees, eyes drifting to the side. "I will sit with Shiori. She should not wake alone, I think."

[GamesMaster]

Tsuki hesitates. "The last time... it was over a week, perhaps two. And she did not speak for two months, afterward. But... I can bring you your plate?"

[Jassinth]

"For--" Jass takes a steadying breath. "She's stronger now. And this... wasn't as bad," he says optimistically. "But thank you, yes."

[GamesMaster]

Tsuki is quiet a long moment before asking, softly, "is she? It's just... she's such a different person. As if there was nothing left of my little brother. And she never wants to reminisce or think about the old days."

[Jassinth]

"She's happy. Content with herself and alive," Jass says after a similar pause. "I didn't know her before she was fleshcrafted, so I could not say for sure. But I think she is. As for memories..." He shrugs one shoulder. "Give her time, perhaps? She volunteered to come back here, but it was not an easy choice, I think. Given how things are going, I can see why, though I am sure there's far more under the surface I'm not seeing."

[GamesMaster]

"Shisou was shy, but he was sensitive, caring. He wouldn't say anything about it, but you'd find mysterious presents, or something would just be taken care of that you were worried about. He didn't have a political bone in his body."

[Jassinth]

"Ah. That I suspect comes from her time in Alyessa, not her transformation. She is still kind though."
