Coquette Blacquin

"I am Lady Coquette Primfana, the lady of the house. And you still have not given me your name."

The Iron Bull

The imisy minotaur scratches at his chin, humming. "Huh. Thought this was a residence..?" He shrugs. "Anyways, righto. The Iron Bull. Uh, the stableguy of the barn?"

Coquette Blacquin

She gives him a flat look. "Your name is.... The Iron Bull."

The Iron Bull

"The Iron Bull of Sweetwater I guess, if we're being formal-like," he allows. "Not actually from there, by the by. Never even heard of it afore five years ago. Thought it was about juice."

Coquette Blacquin

She raises a hand. "I'm sorry, I'm just-- your parents call you The Iron Bull of Sweetwater?!"

Bull blinks. "Noooo..." he replies, drawing the word out to indicate mild confusion.

Coquette Blacquin

She looks a little relieved. "What do they call you, then?"

The Iron Bull

"Well, nunthing. They're dead," he adds helpfully.

Coquette Blacquin

"And before that?" she asks, impatiently.

The Iron Bull

Bull shrugs a little, unruffled by her tone. "Dunno. 'Son' mostly, with some 'my little destroyer' and 'your stubborn dumbass' tossed in when it was warranted. Don't really recall any name." Something kinda heavy. 'Awe' at the start maybe?

Her face softens a little. He must have been orphaned young, then. "I'm sorry for your loss. Do you know how to care for horses?"

The Iron Bull

"Care for'em, sure. Training'em is a bit harder," Bull replies after a brief pause. "I can teach'em to be okay with people and saddles. Riders not so much, not without help-- too heavy, most horses freak right out iffen I try to get up on'em. Good with most livestock really, 'cept cows and oxen. They, uh, they get confused. Yeah, let's go with confused."

"Great." She holds out the reigns to him. "You've been promoted to groom. Add caring for Jasper to your duties and ask the housekeeper to raise your pay appropriately."

The Iron Bull

"Uh, sure?" He takes the reigns briefly, then flings them around the top of Jasper's neck. Instead, he offers the palm of his hand to the horse. "How do I find this Housekeeper person?"

"Her name is Susannah, she's a plump human woman with brown hair in curls. You'll find her in the house, probably near the kitchen this time of day."
