"I mean, more like... more like a vigilante," she admits. "I fought some bandits and no-good types and demon summoners back home."

[Zevran]

"A settled adventurer then," Zevran offers, nodding. "A hero regardless it sounds like."

[Shisou]

"Perhaps," she agrees. "Regardless, that part of my life is well done with now."

[Zevran]

"Perhaps, perhaps not," Zevran murmurs thoughtfully. "You seem to be a grace and magic type. I am sparring with Bull but he is very much overwhelming aggression style. I could use some variation..."

[Shisou]

"No way," quips the girl. "I watched you two, you're way better than me."

[Zevran]

"Teaching is nearly as good as an equally skilled partner for honing one's own edge," Zevran assures her.

[Shisou]

"And, um... it's just... nobody knows I can do this except you three..."

[Nox]

"Not even Coquette?" Nox asks, his tone making it clear that he's surprised Shisou wouldn't have shared this with her already. I know how lowly he thinks of himself and how much he wishes to have more of her regard. I would have thought he would wish to show this off. 

[Shisou]

He shakes his head. "I was... caught, once before. It led to my being married off to a foreign noble."

[Lux]

That gets a worried look from Lux. "Why? What... I mean, it doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with--"

"Misogyny?" Zevran cuts in. "Or a more unaimed distaste for changing your form or whatnot?"

[Shisou]

"Well, I mean, I was caught out with men a couple of times, and, um, nobody wants a gay kid in their family tree in Toukami, and generally... it's not that bad, being turned into a girl... I mean at least I'm not gay, right? Hah..."

[Zevran]

"What is wrong with being gay?" Zevran asks curiously.

[Shisou]

"You can't have kids, meaning you can't bring your family any honor beyond what you personally do."

[Zevran]

"Really? Coquette and her wife seem to have managed it," Zevran points out dryly.

[Shisou]

"Not without all of us. Toukami doesn't behave that way. I know it's strange to Alessans but it's our way: one wife, one husband, and their natural born children."
