Coquette Blacquin

"Alter. She's not new, though. She just never fronts."

The Iron Bull

"Ah." Bull hums softly, nodding. "So not pregnant, got it."

Coquette Blacquin

"No, we are pregnant, but that's separate."

The Iron Bull

Bull groans softly, rubbing his face with one hand. "...maybe from the top again?"

Coquette Blacquin

"Okay. Cindy got us pregnant. But we know where that baby is. The alter-baby, I don't know her name -- well, Coquette obviously, we're all Coquette except me -- she went missing."

The Iron Bull

Except you? That sounds legit, sure. "Okay. Okay. So. Baby Al is missing. In your head. Can't you just..." He gestures with the ale stein, which obligingly foams up to the brim.

Coquette Blacquin

"If I didn't want you to have any more ale, what would happen?" he asks, patiently.

The Iron Bull

"I'd deck you and then refill it."

Cedric rolls his eyes. "With so many of us in there, none of us can directly control the landscape anymore. It's got a life of its own. So wherever Baby Al went, she didn't want me to follow. I found a trapdoor in Little B's room and followed it to a basement I'd never seen before and then I walked a long way and ended up here."

The Iron Bull

Bull stares at Cedric in growing horror. A flash of something crosses his face, then sharp focus fills it. He casts his gaze around, scowling, then nods sharply as he strides to the door off the side. Throwing it open, he bellows, "here!" then whistles sharply. "My brain is not safe for babies, meat or mind or anywise!" he growls.

Coquette Blacquin

"Well obviously! I was hoping you'd seen her so I could take her home!"

The Iron Bull

"Good plan," Bull grunts, whistling again sharply. Come on, come on. There's not much I know as much about as ale but this is-- He grins suddenly, almost ferally, as he steps back just in time to let a trio of knee-height mostly bipedal reptiles scamper into the room. Mossy green and hardwood brown scales trimmed with crests and fans of tawny, almost dingy yellow feathers. In coloration, not condition, that is. Feathers to teeth to tailtip, the dinosaurs are well groomed and sleekly healthy.

"You happen to bring something of Baby Al's?" Bull demands as he knees to stroke and gently push the trio around.

Coquette Blacquin

"No, but.... shouldn't we smell similar? Or the same?" he asks, hesitantly. If Bull believes it....?

The Iron Bull

"Blood relations? Yeah, tha'dda work," Bull rumbles, pushing the largest dinosaur over. Springing easily back to their feet, the dullest colored avian chirps, then rubs their head along his forearm until Bull gives a good crest scratching in reply. "Nori. Tava. Assface. Listen close," he barks out, instantly gaining rapt attention. Bull gestures at Cedric, then commands, "sniff up!"

The trackers do their jobs, sniffing at Cedric before tearing off into the void outside the tea room. There is a long pause as they search, during which the sounds of gentle sobbing can be heard from outside the body, the girl having given up her screams and pleas.

Then the dinos return with their prey.

She is young, perhaps 12 or.so, and her hair is shock white, cut in a bob at chin length. Atop her head are a pair of fluffy white wolf's ears, and her tail wraps.around her waist, her arms across her chest in fear. She wears a gown made of deer hide, and her eyes look wild and feral despite being downcast in humility. When she gives a hesitant, sickly smile, they can see her teeth are sharp, with enlarged canines like a wolf's.

"Little B," says Cedric with a relieved sigh.
