By the time Jassinth arrives with the rest of Shiori's luggage, she's on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor, and the unconscious man is bandaged nearby, laid out flat. Tsukikage is making a fresh pot of green tea, but Shiori wants to get the blood out of the wood since it's unlikely they can afford to replace it.

Jassinth

"You said you were just going to sell some herbs!"

Shisou

"Ah, Jassinth! He's with me!" blurts Shiori, seeing Tsuki go for a kitchen knife. "Jassinth of the Oak, may I present my sister, Higurashi Tsukikage of-- well you probably don't want the whole thing," she says with a blush. "Tsuki, this is my, um, acolyte? Bodyguard? Thing? Jassinth. This is Jassinth."

Jassinth

"Thing?" Jassinth repeats with a pained expression that's undercut by the overly dramatic stagger and hand pressed to his heart. Not to mention the laughter in his eyes or the twitch of his lips. "Oh, how cruelly I am treated! Truly the world is without kindness or warmth... Or so I might have feared before I was blessed by the sight of your beauty and grace, Lady Stimulate."

GamesMaster

Tsukikage looks him up and down, then gives a 'hmph' and turns back to making tea. "Great, a charmer. Well, sit down, I'll have tea up in a moment."

Shisou

"Sorry," says Shiori. "I should have clarified how you wanted to be introduced before we left the ship. I was just so eager to be home. And then, well... this asshole was here and tried to beat me up. Can't risk any harm to the babe, you know, so I had to kick his ass."

Jassinth

Jass, mid-pout at being so coolly rejected, freezes briefly as Shiori finishes. Okay, mental note, my new boss babbles and spills all when over excited or such. Got it. "Tea sounds lovely!" he says as quick and naturally as he can manage, hoping to skim right past the pregnancy reveal for the moment.

GamesMaster

Tsukikage brings a teapot and a stack of odd, handle-less teacups to the low table. Shiori finishes up, heading to sit on a cushion at the table, and thus showing Jass how to approach it; as Tsuki pours, she asks, "So. How did this whole pregnancy thing... well, let me back up. How did this whole girl thing happen? Dark Alessan magic?"

Jassinth

Success? Sorta? Jass eyes the cushions dubiously but takes a seat. He's well accustomed to sitting directly on the ground as a ranger; it's the squishy comfort that's weird about the entire thing. "Thank you," he murmurs in response to tea being poured for him, but otherwise allows Shiori to tell her own tale. To start anyway, he's willing and even pleased to let her take lead but he also takes his duty to support her very seriously despite his youth and generally easy-going nature. Besides, he's gotten to know her a little in the month or so of travel and, despite her powers, she has a strong 'is smol and sweet, protect' vibe.

Shisou

"It was magic at the Oak. I've entered into a, a bargain with the deity Raplin. I'm to bear his grand-offspring, thus saving our family, and in return, I have given him my service. He requested that I tend a Sacred Sapling, which is to be planted in the gardens here, and convey respect and thanks to the Deity of the Lake Below."

Tsuki stares at her sister. "But... why? You got out. You were married off. Why come back to try and save this wretched excuse for a family?"

Shisou

"I mean, you're here, for one," says Shiori, shyly.

Jassinth

Jass can't helped himself. "Awww," he croons, reaching over to tousle her hair.

Shisou

Shiori ducks, grinning. "So yeah. I had to come back. That and, my marriage kind of... dissolved."
