[Shiori]

"Now? yeah. Unfortunately."

[Jassinth]

"Wonderful," Jass says cheerfully as he sets a bowl in front of her. Then he leans in, grips the back of her head, and pulls her in for a kiss.

[Shiori]

She seems shocked -- but not displeased, closing her eyes and leaning into the kiss. "Mmm."

[Jassinth]

He doesn't keep it chaste, but he does keep it short. Pulling back, he studies her expression carefully. "You... did remember that part of last night, right?"

[Shiori]

"....I was sure it was a dream.  A wonderful dream. I... I apologize for being so brash," she adds, blushing. "Though I can't complain about the outcome."

[Jassinth]

"I enjoyed it as well," Jassinth says with a bright smile. "Though... given how, ah, interwoven and complex things are at current, I feel that we need to talk things over before moving forward." 

[Shiori]

Shiori looks down at her lap. "Yeah... I didn't exactly... I'm not exactly dating Maeve, but I didn't ask her how she felt about... and, and you're my best friend and my bodyguard, and that's dangerous territory and... all the reasons I didn't kiss you while sober."

[Jassinth]

"Ah. Well, I can resolve your concerns regarding Maeve," Jass offers a bit eagerly. "Maeve does not and does not want to understand monogogy. The entire idea of 'seeking water from a single rainfall or light from a single ray' is absurd to her. Also, for full disclosure, I have also been with Maeve. In fact, she was my first lover."

[Shiori]

"Lucky," Shiori whispers, in awe. "I wouldn't expect her to settle for any one person, but she might want my faithfulness or chastity in worship of her and her father."

[Jassinth]

Jass flashes her a grin at her whisper, then shakes his head. "Raplin wants to know and be involved with as little to do with Maeve's, ah, activities," he waggles his eyebrows," as possible. Not because He is her father, such as such equates, but because fleshy squishy icky."

[Shiori]

"Shouldn't that mean that, as his disciple, I should be as minimally... fleshy... as possible?"

[Jassinth]

"He's never asked for anything of the sort from his druids," Jass replies with a shrug. "More than half of them are married and more than that have children so..."

[Shiori]

Something in Shiori unwinds, and she seems to relax. "Ah. Okay. well. That's... good."

[Jassinth]

"That was worrying you," he more states than asks, though there's a second question of 'why' that goes unspoken.

[Shiori]

Shiori bites her lower lip, looking away. "It shouldn't," she admits. "But... I like sex. More than I ever have in my life. And I feel like... I was worried that was it, forever."
