"Stall," Jass repeats. "We," he gestures at Shiori, "had an idea growing for something like this already but the more time to prepare- without excessive cost or suspicion-- the better."

Tsuki winces. "I'll need some pig's blood and a doctor you can bribe, but I can pull that off..."

[Jassinth]

"I can provide the blood easily enough but I've not exactly had a lot of time to make connections here," Jass replies without blinking. "Perhaps your mother can help?"

"Right, yes. Well-- no, mother's doctors were hired by her husband, they're not trustworthy to keep secrets."

"Perhaps our best bet lays in the clergy then? If none of us know a healer loyal to us more than our enemies, then one more loyal to a deity might work?" Bastion, of course, but Ciren or, depending on our approach, Teiris or Vangal perhaps.

[GamesMaster]

"You're thinking Kitsune?"

[Jassinth]

Jass nods, then pauses. "That's... Bastion? No. Teiris?"

"What? No, Kato."

[Jassinth]

"Why Kato?" Jass blurts out, eyes widening. "Is that not the group most likely to betray us?"

[GamesMaster]

"Why would a Crane lie for us?"

[Jassinth]

"That one is Bas-- got it. I was assuming-- hoping even-- that if we explain the situation, they would see it as an act of compassion and kindness to help. Though perhaps a Gentle that is not a part of the House might be better?"
