"Good girl," Feythal compliments her, the barest hint of warmth on her face, just long enough to say those two words.

He bristles, not quite sure why, but somewhere else in his mind, the compliment is received and helps soothe a lot of the hurt. Still, none of this shows on his face, which is blank with perhaps a slight tinge of arrogance. "As you say."

"I do say," Feythal agrees with a withered corpse of a chuckle. "Why only fight back now?" she asks abruptly.

[Coquette Blacquin]

"I was unsure I could win. My rage overtook me and I had to try."

[NPCs]

"A gamble then... but not a foolish one." She studies Coquette for a long moment, unblinking and unnaturally still. "And how do you feel about the results of that gamble?"

"The combat with her, yes. But is that victory all that need concern you?"

"And does your... beating eliminate the means in which she blackmailed you previously?"
