Rocket’s ship

"I told you. It's the work."

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"Anything in particular about it or just don't want to be a guard? There's lots of other jobs you can do here."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"I like... this is going to sound silly, but... I like swordsmanship. I don't like fighting. Does that make sense?"

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"You can practice your craft here. And like I said there's other things you can do here. But if you really want to leave after tomorrow nights meeting you can. I'd like you to stay but I won't force you to."

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

Kor nods. "I'll.. I'll think about it."

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

Everyone is once more gathered into the dinning hall as I start the meeting. "As most of you know we've had this conversation before on weather or not to turn the ship into a floating colany, and allowing children and families to join us as we do small merchant runs and less mercenary runs. As we are now in a safe place to do so I would like to hear this out. I would also like to state that I will no longer stand in the way should the choice be made to do so."

Kor hesitates, wanting to listen to the pros and cons before he weighs in. 

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"There's four cargo holds and we only use one. We can turn the other three into classrooms and a hydroponics bay and a space to make tools and crafts." Someone says to a murmur of assent

"And we have dozens of connectors so we can always add on as we take on more people. Think about it we could have families again. Kids! We can be a safe haven to runaways and those who've lost their homes."  Doc says.

"I for one would like to start a martial arts school. Teach the next generation." Reaper says "it would be nice to teach again....." he trails off.

"We could sell the crafts we make and some of the food we grow and if we set up aprentice programs and a SMALL school we could take on a hundred or so new folks initially to out colany. " I say after a few moments

[Kuronue "Kor" Higurashi]

"The ship isn't big enough," ventures Kor, hesitantly. "Not if you also want to make cargo runs, for sure, but also... there's only so many berths. You'd want a bigger ship, a colony ship."

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"This used to be a military ship. Meaning we can easily add on to her to make her bigger. The maximum capacity of the star cruiser before decommissioning was 2,000 crew. We would need to add about 3 pods to be comfortable but adding them is cheaper than buying a new ship and making the modifications for a single mechinite not to mention 15 of us. And it would give us a place to start as we build towards having a legitimate colany ship." I say with a smile

"What if you take on... people who are... difficult, or criminal?"

[Ryle “Rocket” Arora]

"Everyone can be difficult we all have problems sometimes. But that's why we will have non violent conflict resalutions and councilors to help keep the peace as for criminals we will keep a small security staff and those who do commit crimes will be let off at the next settlement available. Unless it's a hanuse crime in which case we will get the authorities involved"

"But isn't there a risk of taking on someone who, I don't know... tries to destroy everyone?"

[Reaper]

"What if we did and application and a triple period before we take on someone new?" I offer

"That's not a bad idea."
