Not if I kill you I sigh turning to Jamie. "If you change you're mind I'll come get you" I say gently placing my hand on his shoulder and giving it a squeeze. "See you Friday" I say walking out the door

"...Mom, what the fuck?" he hears as he heads out.

An hour later, Toby gets a text from Jamie: "What did you mean when you said my mom got bit?"

"She has Steve's mating bite he's a wear tiger. She's his omaga." I text back

"Come pick me up. Don't honk. I'll come out when I see your car."

A duffel bag falls from the upstairs window to the driveway. Then a rope lowers down, tied to a rat cage with a black rat in it. Finally, Jamie slides down the rope, stopping and jumping free before he squishes the rat. He puts both the duffle and the cage in Toby's car, then hops into the front seat. "Go go go."

I pull out quickly then cut the lights on before heading down the street. "You wanna tell me what's going on?" I say a few minutes later

"Fuck Steve." Jamie glances up, then, unsure if he's about to be reprimanded for his language.

[Toby]

"Fuck Steve?" I ask chuckling

"Yeah, fuck him. Ugh. I can't believe she's marrying a creep like him."
