"You're not the first person to shot me." I say coldly "I did 16 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. And I'm natural born so silver won't hurt me. Look he's fine! He's safe! Nothings happened and nothing will happen till he's ready. He know all the outs and that all he has to do is say the word and I'm gone. I'm telling you this as a curtesy so you don't see it the the updat tomorrow at work."

She cocks the hammer. "Go. Last warning."

[Jamie D'vart]

"Mom, stop!"

[Sophia D'Vart]

"He is a child. Get the fuck out of my house you pedophile!"

[Toby]

"Why is that everyone's first thought when it's a wolf and a human? I swear little red riding hoods rotten your brains! A bite is safety from magical madness I'm not going to touch him until he's an adult" I lie "I told you nothings happened! All that's happened is I've explained the magic at play, introduced him to my pack, gave him the bite and that's it! He's fine!"

A man comes out of the kitchen then, drying his hands on a towel. He's a buff guy, but other than that, he seems fairly average. "What's going on?" he growls, his voice low and menacing. "Is this guy bothering you?"

I sniff the air the laugh "you're one to talk! You took the bite and you're giving him shit for it?! That's rich."

"What the fuck?!"

[Sophia D'Vart]

"I'm an adult!"

[GamesMaster]

"Your mother and I are engaged, son," says Steve, at the same time as the other two trying to talk. 

[Toby]

I roll my eyes. "Magic doesn't care how old you are. Once your mate is known you take the bite or go mad."

[Sophia D'Vart]

"Then you should have gone mad. Now get the fuck out before I shoot you!"

[Toby]

"I'm not the one who would have suffered and you know it. Look if I could have taken more time I would have. But giving him the bite means he's safe from magic and madness it give him time to grow up and figure out what he wants in life. You think I planned on having my first mate be a human teenager? I was hoping for a wolf not a pup an adult who know what they want and how to deal with this change, but I have Jamie. We've talked this out he's in charge of our relationship he sets the pace he sets the boundaries. We're following the pack laws on this and I'm following Jamie's wishes."
