Go Down

Jamie D'vart

"Hungry," he growls, in an oddly strained voice. "always hungry."

Acutis D'Vart

"Yeah, I know...and you're going to HAVE to feed now. Just the trick is doing it without leaving a trail of bodies everywhere you go." Acutis sits on his haunches, staying level with Jamie. "But I'm gonna NEED you to let the boy talk without interrupting him, got it?" There's a light green to his eyes that almost seems to glow. "You won't starve, but you can't just drain people like that. You're definitely not strong enough for it, and it makes life harder than you'd think."

Jamie D'vart

"Boy smells wrong."

Acutis D'Vart

"He's scared and you're both going to have to learn to handle each other. Now, let him talk." Acutis sighed. This was a thing he HATED about his Nature. This fighting with yourself was always an issue. Even if he was at a...peace with himself, it didn't make his interactions any less difficult. "You already know I can't lie, so I'll let you know that you're not going anywhere either. No more boxes or whatever mental place he had you."

Jamie D'vart

"Boy smells wrong. Wet dog. Not pure."

Toby

"That's because I bit him to keep him from bleeding to death. He needed the healing it would bring." I say walking through the door. "Sorry Acutis, it was the only way to keep him alive"

Acutis D'Vart

"...why the FUCK would you do that?!" He turned quickly to Toby, a bright green glint in his eye. They were furious and there was a sudden feeling of danger...which edged off a moment as Acutis took a breath. "...sorry. How about...you start with...WHY that was the thing you needed to do."

Toby

"When I got to him he had sucked all the energy out of Steve and his luckiest had disemboweled him and nearly taken his fucking head off. There wasn't enough magic to stabilize let alone save him, unless he was turned by his mate. I couldn't just let him die."

Acutis D'Vart

Acutis took a breath...and then another. He kept that gaze right on Toby. "And he still might if things stay like this. That or I'm going to have to take him somewhere and hope he forgives me for letting him kill off a town." Acutis clenched his teeth. "I need Sophia's help. Is she here?"

Toby

"Dixon's getting her. And if he just needs to kill someone I got some military buddies that can get me coordinates for some tarrorests it's at least useful murder."

Acutis D'Vart

"And if he decides when he's NOT split like this, that might be helpful. Right now, it'd just make him fight even HARDER and we need them to get along. Tho at LEAST I get what the 'wet dog' meant." Acutis pinched the bridge of his nose before turning towards Jamie. "And even IF he smells wrong, he's still himself. And you're not the only one that has to live there. So. Again. I need. To Speak. To Jamie."

Sophia D'Vart

"My spell's probably not helping," says Sophia, sounding tired, as she steps into the room. "Acutis. You look well."

Acutis D'Vart

"No, probably not." Acutis took a long breath before turning to Sophia. "Nice to see you're work is as sturdy and flawless as ever." And he was probably sincere about it. Tho Sophia knows that the eyes were a sign of his agitation and worry...or he was just THAT pissed with the situation. "And I always LOOK well. It's being well that was always the issue."

Sophia D'Vart

"You don't appreciate lies," she says flippantly. "Do you need me to suppress him?"

Acutis D'Vart

"I need you to turn the collar off. Trying to shove them apart now is going to make things more difficult." Acutis paused. "And I appreciated that you understand that, even if you don't believe in my inability to lie." He took a long breath, smoothing back his hair and his eyes returned to only a shockingly green color. "I'm glad you sound more...yourself. I was worried."
