Tobys cabin

[Jamie D'vart]

"If I don't stay, though. Will you sign the papers?" Mom certainly won't.

[Toby]

"What's going through your head?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"I want to be an artist. And school is.... not good for me."

[Toby]

"You can drop school and take your ged and paint but you need to stay here until you've got yourself under control"

[Jamie D'vart]

"No, I get that, but after I've got myself under control I'll be able to defend myself, so maybe I could use my savings to go backpacking in Europe?"

[Toby]

"You could....." I say slowly "or you could stay with someone who understands" you could stay with me..l think

[Jamie D'vart]

"Right now, I don't.... I don't know what I want to do. It'd be nice to be... to have some semblance of normal."

[Toby]

"I can do that......" just let me in Jamie  give me a chance,st bit to me let me love you

[Jamie D'vart]

He starts to reply, but yawns. "I think... I need to sleep."

[Toby]

I nod gently "ok" I say getting ready up and tucking him in gently "good night Jamie" I say gently turning words the door

[Jamie D'vart]

"hey, Toby?" he calls out, just as Toby is leavnig. 

[Toby]

"Yah?" I say turning back my heart racing

[Jamie D'vart]

"...thanks. I know you-- thanks for helping me."

[Toby]

"I'll alway help you Jamie.....I love you" I whisper the last part hoping he doesn't hear. But it's true I love him.

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie smiles to himself, settling into the covers and rolling onto his side. 

He's asleep in minutes.
