[Toby]

"It isn't anymore they've been dis banded those that weren't killed or arrested have left town."

[Jamie D'vart]

"Ok but where was it?"

[Toby]

"Other side of town by the river, why?"

[Jamie D'vart]

"Just curious."  A pause. "Does all that land belong to Mom now?"

[Toby]

"Technically because your mother is in Dixon's protection anything she own is his to manage but no she doesn't own it. It's unclaimed pack land and will stay that way until it's been cleaned, cleared, and burned then a new pack can move in."

[Jamie D'vart]

"Burned? Isn't that bad for the trees?"

[Toby]

"A controlled burn is actually really good for the trees. It gets rid of the dead undergrowth furtlizes the soil and allows new trees and plants to grow in."

[Jamie D'vart]

Jamie nods. "Okay, I guess that makes sense."

[Toby]

"It also gets rid of their scent so a new pack can move in."

[Jamie D'vart]

"...is that why mom smells weird to me now?"

[Toby]

"No, that's because Steve turned her, and now your wolf can smell her tiger."

[Jamie D'vart]

"Right, that's what I mean. If the scent is such a big problem that explains a lot." A pause. "Can we... make her smell right?"

[Toby]

"You mean like a wolf? No she's already been turned. You can't change it at this point it was too long ago. But she'll smell less and less like Steve as she spends time here

[Jamie D'vart]

"I mean like...you and Dixon kind of smell similar, even though you smell different."

[Toby]

"That's right. She'll start to smell like herself again and then like her pack."
