[GamesMaster]

"You have my thanks." Mikhail, in a hurry to get out of this room and away from these... creatures, leads the way, walking just a bit faster than normal. 

[Toby]

I match his stride easily and lead him to the stairs. Befor taking him not to his room but to my study shutting the door behind us, "have a seat. Drink?" I ask I offer going to the cabinet no longer full of liquor "it's not the hard stuff but it tastes ok."

The study is warm with wood paneled walls and plush carpet. It's really the only space like it in the pack house a place for the alphas to receive and meet guests and have private talks. There's mine and Dixon's survic pictures as well as our medals. I have four Purple Hearts, two iron crosses, a copper star and a silver star on display.

I sit in an overstuffed chair swirling my glass looking at the young man across from me.

[GamesMaster]

"Not 21 yet anyway," he says, staying standing. "What's this all about?"

[Toby]

"I could ask you the same question. Why did you come here? Did your mother send you? After all this time does she still doubt his safety?were you sent ro check up on me? Did she send you to challenge me? Or are you just some dumb human kid who dosent realize that by aproching me and then backing away you challenged my athuriry and control in my own pack house? ...... personaly i think you're a dumb kid but the last time i was wrong about someone i lost half my unit in an ambush so here's your chance to speak frank and freely. Why are you here"

[GamesMaster]

Mikhail blinks at him. "It's Thanksgiving in two days. I came for the holiday. Only, nobody was home. So I came here."

[Toby]

I look him up and down he is Ernest no scent of deception "fair enough " I smile relaxing. "Sorry altos happened this year and I just got back from active deployment..... never can be too carful.  So you're here for the week right? Jamie invite you?"

[GamesMaster]

"Uh, no, I didn't know he'd be here... my girlfriend invited me."

[Toby]

"I wasn't aware that any of our college members had found mates. Mind if I ask who it is?"

[GamesMaster]

"Raja? Only, I'm not sure I'm her mate or anything, it's just a, you know, casual sort of relationship. A practice run, if you will." He rubs the back of his neck. "I'd know if I was her mate, right? Like some kind of cosmic... feeling?"

[Toby]

"Rais?" I ask puzzled "but isn't she...."mated to rocket and reaper?"never mind not my business " unless and until it becomes a problem
...... "Dixon told you about the moon tomorrow right? How you should stay indoors? Mala and the kids will be downstairs if you want. The twins are just big puppies so you can play with them mala will keep them inLine."

[GamesMaster]

Mikhail nods. "Yeah, that sounds okay. I was gonna just lock myself in my room and study for the exams coming up."

[Toby]

"Sounds good. Though bean and echo would love it if they got to play with their uncle. They've been running grandma ragged" I chuckle "let's see.... Foods always available in the dinning hall your room is on the third floor last door on the right.....oh and the only places off limits are the ash grove on the far side of the lake and the cabin there in"

[GamesMaster]

"I don't plan to wander much but thanks." A pause. "Where does my girlfriend sleep? Just so I can find her later? She seems to have wandered off."

[Toby]

.........fuck she's coming up on her heat right? Shit. I stand and move to the desk rommeging thro some papers until I find what I'm looking for. Thank gods it's not till December "she's on the second floor top of the stars....huh,....."

[GamesMaster]

"Cool. I guess I can find her. Thanks."
