The Prince and the Priestess

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"No, no. here, only poor women cook. We pay someone to cook."

[Raja kumarie]

"But how will I be sure you'll be kind to me?"

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"Be-cause.... I am a kind person?" he says, hesitantly. 

[Raja kumarie]

"A wife who does not feed her husband will turn his heart to stone!" I say it's an old superstition but he ate someone else's cooking to night and ought with me....

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"...what if I let you cook for me once a week? Just to prevent that?"

[Raja kumarie]

I turn it over in my head for a few moments and then nod "thank you, I know it must sound strange to you but it is as much part of my tradings as setting with sticks is to yours."

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

He nods. "I think.... this... what you did tonight was unusual as well, but it was good. Maybe this can be good too."

[Raja kumarie]

I nod "we will learn to be good for one another." I say gently. "Would you like to ride together tomorrow? I brought you a horse along with my Kajin, you'll like him he's full of spirit"

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"I don't think father will like that..."

[Raja kumarie]

"We could stay in the compound, no one would see...."

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"..alright. As long as my father doens't find out."

[Raja kumarie]

I kiss his cheek happily. "Thank you love." I stretch and rise gently moving to the bed falling asleep once he joins me.

Kajin is happy to see me the next morning. Her cream hair shining in the morning light. A dark mount is brought out for Ryuu. His saddle looks strange compared to mine but I swing myself up int the saddle edger to ride.  Once he's in his saddle I take of galloping around the court yard vail billowing in the breeze w create. Laughing happily. Kajin and I moving as one around the paddock. Racing around happily

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

Ryuu keeps up easily, putting the horse through his paces -- good, he knows how to ride, then. "Race you," he calls, grinning. "Three laps?"

[Raja kumarie]

I pull up beside him "you're on!"

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

Ryuu pushes his horse hard, kicking into top speed and keeping his horse there even when he starts to flag a little.
