"I may play the role of a woman but I have never and will never be one. I am what I am. I am fine being seen as a women but I hate doesn't change th fact that I'm not one. I stand in the middle" I shighed and shake my head "still I am your wife and there is no need for you to hide me away. Besides if they are your friends I know they will be kind. So bring them to supper tomorrow and we'll have a small party"

"You cannot say such things to my friends," he says, blushing.

" I wasn't planning on it. My gender is mine to hold it is as sacred as my soul. It is something I only share with those I love and trust" I say blushing. 'still I want to meet them all"

"It's a little... ah..." he trails off.

" it's short notice" I say snacking the heal of my hand agents my for head and tisking. "is next week enough time to get them all together? I should have known that your friends would still be at work only you have this time off for our marriage"

"Work? No, no. Nothing like that. It's more... I don't think you and my friends..."

My face falls as it hits me "they won't like me because I'm Turkish" it's barely more than a whisper

"No no, you are beautiful, it's more... they are... as I said, they are not accustomed to being friends with women, and you are very different than most women, and they will perhaps be... offensive to your ears."

" oh" I say softly and then it clicks "oh! They can be rude and you wish not to upset me!" I beam relief event. " Worry not my love for I am not so delicate as to faint at rudeness. I will bring the desi charm and all will be at ease"

I smile happy " is two days enough time to get everyone here?" I ask looking around the garden my head all ready planning things. I'm never as happy as when I have an event to plan. " Just tell me how many yo expect and I'll handle the rest" I smile I'll add cushions here and here and I can have a larger table bright out and I think to myself excitedly
