The Prince and the Priestess

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"Four, I think. Or no -- six, I'll have the two who are married bring their wives. That will help tone down their behavior."

[Raja kumarie]

"six days.... Oh that's wonderful I can't wait to meet everyone" I beam

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

"Sorry, six people -- two days is fine."

[Raja kumarie]

I nod " then I must get started"

The next two days are a blurry of activity. The gazebo is rearranged to fit all six guests and a larger table brought out. Great care is taken to make all things wonderful. I finally look out at th garden happy as the lanterns are light and soft music plays. The table is full of food. Curry, chai, fruit and nuts, fish, rice, habiscus wine. It's all set out and ready.

I had lotus hell me get ready my red and gold sari turned into a lovely kimono my body matches my earings and bangles I wear my bells on my ankles instead of my waist as the belt won't fit with the obi. I til my head as I look at my self in the mirror. My head feels funny with my hair up like this but the flowers look good.

Finally it is time to meet Ryuu and our guest and I head out to meet them

[Liwanu "Li" Jekins]

The first one to arrive shocks Rajakumarie, but in a good way: his skin is dark, not as dark as hers but almost as dark. His hair is very fine and dark, though he wears it in the same warrior's tail as everyone else, and his eyes are merry and bright as he bows to her. 

"Wife, please meet my good friend and the ambassador from the Miwok nation, Liwanu."

"Please, someone as beautiful as yourself may call me simply Li," he replies in very good Japanese. 

[Raja kumarie]

I place my hands together and bow. "I am pleased to meet you Li. Welcome to my home. Please make yourself comfortable"

[Liwanu "Li" Jekins]

"And kind, too! The Gupta clearly have hidden all the best women away from the rest of the world, but our dear Ryuu has pried one loose and kept her for himself."

Ryuu rolls his eyes as Li moves to a cushion, taking a seat. Just as he's about to speak there's another knock, and he goes to fetch friend numbers two and three.

Friend two is a redhead, rare in these parts but not unheard of -- unless he's just using henna to dye it, which come to think of it, makes more sense. Ryuu introduces him as "Kimura Musashi, heir to the Kimura fortune and accomplished samurai."

Musashi bows, but not very deeply, looking surprised. "You brown folk really are taking over the world," he jokes, elbowing Li as he sits next to him.

[Coquette Blacquin]

Kimura Chihiro bows as she too is introduced, both by name and as Musashi's wife. "Please treat me favorably," she says quietly, a formal greeting that gives very little about her character away. Her hair seems to be lightened artificially, a pale sliver as it falls in tresses down her back, with her dark shrewd eyes observing Raja keenly.

[Raja kumarie]

" welcome to you both. Please be at ease and make yourself comfortable." I smile at Mushy and then smile at his wife. " Be at rest sister you are welcome here"

[Coquette Blacquin]

"As you say." She sits primly on a cushion, away from her husband, feet folded daintily beneath her. 

[Liwanu "Li" Jekins]

"Better watch out or I'll have your wife, too," laughs Li to Musashi's joke. "That lovely hair would look even lovelier spread across my futon."

[Ryuu Ishikawa]

Ryuu reddens, coughing a little as if to try and remind his friends that there are ladies present. 

[Raja kumarie]

I laugh brightly " a joke in poor taste yet still amusing. Still LI I would rather you keep such comments to my apetance than the looks of my guests" I smile slyly

[Liwanu "Li" Jekins]

Li slides off the cushion to his knees, taking her hand in both of his own. "My lady, how could I approach such beauty as yours? It is as untouchable as the sun, bright and brilliant."
