Fables Fantasy: casino, night club, lounge, and sweets

"Alright."

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

Things have been stressful at Fable's Fantasy for Al. She's been dealing with her sister's dramatic transformation, and Kit's running a bit of a fever, which is entirely unusual for the little dragonling. Aldrea can't exactly take her to an expert, but it's not a very high fever, so they're waiting to see if it runs its course with a few fever-reducing herbs as a start, unsure how cough medicine will interact with her biology. But she's been stressed out more than usual this week, and so Kitty's convinced her to go get her nails done and take a long lunch by herself out on the strip, take it easy for an afternoon. Kitty's watching Kit, after all. What could go wrong?

What goes wrong first is Aldrea doesn't come back. Not that afternoon, and not all night either. Her phone is turned off, which it never is, and she'd never leave Kit like this. So when the second surprising thing happens and she returns mid-morning the next morning, looking thrilled with herself, well, Kitty's just gonna have to have a talk with her.

[Kitty]

I don't have time for this I think to myself as the door glows slightly telling me I have other things to deal with than Al and kit right now. Old man alive I got no time for michtlands bill shit today I look over the staff rom and live Kira a nod who comes and grabs kit from me. I grab al by the arm and pull her into my office shutting the door and silencing it. "All right talk. Where the hell you been?"

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

"I'm sorry it took me so long to get home, but you won't believe who I ran into at the cafe I went to for lunch."

[Kitty]

"You're phone was off, you missed your shift, you didn't call, and you've got this fool look that says 'I just got laid' so who ever it is I hope it was worth it cause you won't be seeing my sheets for a while." I say coldly

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

She scowls. "Fine. If that's what you want."

[Kitty]

"We ain't done here, I would like to know who's got you ac'in like somebody else"

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

"Why? You want this to be professional, we can be professional. You want to be my girlfriend, don't break up with me first."

[Kitty]

"I had assumed darting ment that we weren't sleeping with other folks Andrea!" I snap. Then I take a breath and wrangle my emotions. "Al I was worried sick about you being gone all night, having your phone off, it's not like you!"

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

"And I'm sorry I worried you, but this was important. And no, for your information, I didn't fuck him. We just spent the night catching up."

[Kitty]

I look her over a moment and sigh. "I'm sorry al you scared the hell out of me and I jumped the gun. Who did you see?"

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

"Damien Lovelock," she says, and the name is a caress. "The only man I really had a deep connection with, before life split us up."

[Kitty]

"I thought you swore off him after he tried to take kit?"

[Aldrea Borealis Dragontamer]

She shrugs. "It was a misunderstanding. He wants to adopt her, and he can provide... well, a lot more stability than I can. You know I've worried about her growing up in a casino. He wants to move to Seattle and take us with him."

[Kitty]

"Al.... We're getting married.... Or did you change your mind on that?"
