Father Lelldorin

Expression not hinting in the slightest that he speaks Necril as well, Lelldorin clears his throat gently. "Perhaps then we should gather this Joy to come eat as well? I'll have some trays brought to my office for today, given the light issue."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"That'd be great," admits Charon. "She's out front with your dog-beast."

Father Lelldorin

That gets a chuckle. "Unsurprising really. Dog is more accurately labeled a foo dog. A half-accurate explanation is that he's something like the dog version of an aasimar." Turning  his head slightly, he then calls out in a slightly louder voice, "Dog, when you can, please come to my office with your new acquaintance."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"What does he do? Guard?"

Father Lelldorin

"Guards, guides, plays and comforts," Lelldorin replies, a pleased, relaxed, smile on his lips. "He's almost as old as I am but still yet to reach the prime of his life. It's been a great comfort to me, knowing that Dog will still be here for the temple centuries from now."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

Charon blinks. "I suppose it would be," he says slowly. "then is that woman outside your daughter?"

Father Lelldorin

Yes but she hates to have it spoken. "Something of that nature, yes. She was one of the orphans here once. She left for a while. Still leaves for short whiles, but this is her home."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"Orphans, huh?" says Charon, somewhat put off.

Father Lelldorin

"Some, yes," Lelldorin agrees with a nod, opening the door to his office as he does. "Perhaps a quarter of those here on a given day are officially in my care. The rest come for meals and lessons, to met with their friends or to pray."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"You know, all three of us are orphans. Grew up in Sweetwater, though."

Father Lelldorin

"Not the furthest of the city-states but still a fair journey," Lelldorin comments as he moves around to extinguish the various lights save for a fat candle on the left side of his desk. "Please, have a seat. Ah, there's a stool under that table there that might suit Dil better."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

Charon moves to sit, though he keeps an eye on Dil. "Well, we came with little and what we had hasn't gone far. So we're looking for work."

Father Lelldorin

"So you mentioned earlier," Lelldorin says as he takes a seat himself, a soft sigh of relief coming from him then. "What sort of work have you done in the past that you might be interested in doing again?"
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"I'm good with just about any unskilled labor. I don't really have any marketable skills, you see. I don't mind being up high, though."

Diligence

"He's really good at remembering things, like lists or complicated instructions too," Dil chimes in, wanting to make sure his friend looks good. "I'm a ne-novice wizard."
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.
