"Born and raised," chirps Joy from the floor where she's rubbing Dog's belly.

Diligence

"Um, yeah, what my sister said," Dil confirms.
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Father Lelldorin

"It must be a great many changes and twists on the familiar you've encountered since you've arrived at Nyra. How are you all coping?"
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"...we've only been here a week," admits Charon.

Diligence

"You have too many lights," Dil grumbles sourly.
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Father Lelldorin

That comment gets a sympathetic wince. "I feel much the same way about the number of steps and hills in Preacher's Way," the lame priest offers. "In your case, I believe most kobolds and other darkness adapted citizens of Nyra--"

"Kobolds citizens? There are full blood kobolds here!?"

"...aside from yourself? Yes, of course. There are only a small handful of races that do not have a presence in Nyra."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"Where do we find them?" asks Charon, fully understanding Dil's eagerness.

Father Lelldorin

"Ah, well, that would depend on who you wish to find," Lelldorin replies after a small pause. A rather strong reaction there. But which of many possible reasons..? "There are several, ah, groups I suppose works. Are you looking for anyone in particular or..?"
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Diligence

Dil stares at him blankly, struggling to process the concept of other kobolds actually existing. Which isn't to say he'd ever really thought he was entirely unique or anything, simply that kobolds were always 'over there, far out of reach.' This new possibility, the idea that he could actually meet other kobolds, that it's not just some wistful daydream... "I don't even know what possible answers are possible to answer that question."
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

Thinking of his reaction among the catfolk, he asks, "Which are the most friendly?"

Father Lelldorin

Friendly to a young orphan with no resources save for a smattering of necromancy and two other orphans in similar, if not worse, situations? Oh dear. "Hmm," he replies after a moment, more to assure them he's thinking and not just ignoring them. "I can't say I'm entirely sure who would be most welcoming as a group, truth be told. However, I do have a friendly acquaintance by the name of Bright's Mirrorscale that might be able to introduce you around. They're., ah, a touch unusual in their manner, but respectable and stalwart."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Diligence

"That... could be good?" Dil replies uncertainly, glancing at Charon for help. Or advice. Support. An escape plan?
All I really want from life is a cozy den, my real family, good food
and a couple dozen skeleton servants.

Charon Tethras

Charon hestiates. "It.. might be easier if you went alone, Dil. They're your people, after all, and interracial friendships like ours are... uncommon."

Father Lelldorin

"That would be up to you, both of you, of course, but I do not think company would be taken amiss. Especially for the first meeting."
I am lived long enough to know we are all in need of help. Even the gods.

Charon Tethras

"..if you say so."
