[Father Lelldorin]

"It's possible you have a vision impairment," Lelldorin suggests gently, deciding to not go into how it could be ocular or cerebral, given how many react to being told that their brain might be 'broken.' 

[GamesMaster]

Joy squints at him. "I can see in the light just fine..."

[Father Lelldorin]

"See in..." The priest's eyes flick to Dil in understanding. "Ah. I was thinking more similar to how I require the use of glasses rather than your brother's issue with light. I am far-sighted, meaning that things start getting blurrier, less detailed, the closet they are to me."

[GamesMaster]

Joy blinks. "That's weird. they're supposed to get blurrier further away from you."

[Father Lelldorin]

"It isn't typical, correct. Eyes can be damaged by a number of things, sometimes in ways healing magic won't correct." He chuckles lightly. "In my case the primary cause is simple age. I am in my eighties after all, which for a human is quite far along." I needn't explain that I should have been nearsighted, were it not for the partially dispelled Fell Curse of a Night Hag Matriarch and some desperate, makeshift healing before she killed us all.

[GamesMaster]

"I never hurt my eyes or nothin'."

[Father Lelldorin]

"Time can damage your vision all by itself. And it can start far earlier in one's life than most realize, often during one's second growth spurt, in fact."

[Diligence]

"Joy has had a lot of growth spurts," Dil offers thoughtfully.

[GamesMaster]

"Hey! Just 'cause you're a runt..."

[Diligence]

"Oye! I didn't say it was bad you've grown tons!"

[Charon Tethras]

"Women don't like to be called big, Dil. Skeleton chic, remember?"

[Diligence]

"But... she just is? She's gonna be huge once--"

[GamesMaster]

"Dil!" they both chorus. 

[Father Lelldorin]

"You might do better with saying 'tall,'" Lelldorin offers, absolutely not smiling.

Joy makes a face. "I just want to be normal," she mutters, blushing a little.
