The others. Oh dear. No, no don't get anxious. The whole point of this was to met the artists here and see if their passions can enkindle my own. Deep breath. "Ah, yes, of course. There should be plenty to share... I hope? How... how many are 'the others' in number?"

Cameron takes this one: "You, me, and pip, plus Ezra and Scott are upstairs. Tadpole is--"

They pause, hearing the front door open. "Home, apparently. So that's everyone. Heidi's not here today."

Andreas Amell

So six people live here in total. Plus studio room? How... cramped. "Well, there should be enough for everyone to at least get a couple of pieces," Andreas says after a moment. "I brought some smoked fish and dwarven forge eggs as well, though mostly for myself. I didn't want to put you out, having to shop for just me," he explains. "There's enough to allow all a sample, should that please you however."

Cameron and Pip set out the spread on the living room table where they can kneel and have tea; the whole living room is smaller than Dreas' closet, and yet, sitting knee-to-knee with others, it feels... inviting. Cozy. These people are clearly a family, and y et, they don't snipe at each other or tease, just enjoying the time spent together.

In a lull between amusing stories and gossip, Andreas takes the opportunity to ask something he'd been wondering about since the show ended. "How did this start? Your one house community, to be clear."

"Well, we'd been friends for a long time," says Tadpole. "and I guess we each needed a place to stay at some point, and Pip's cousin owns this building, so the rent's cheap, and before you know it, we're forming a real art community."

Andreas Amell

"Ah, it's rented then? How strict is the landlord?" he asks curiously, having grown up with a real estate dragon for a grandfather.

"Oh, barely at all," affirms Pip. "My cousin really gets the need for an artist to have space to flourish with like-minded individuals. It helps, with all our different forms of art, to get inspired by something outside our own disciplines and yet also have people to talk to who understand what we suffer as artists. He barely charges us compared to the surrounding buildings, and he doesn't mind if we repaint the walls."

Andreas Amell

"Ah, that's very kind of him," Andreas says with a smile and a nod. But still... "You... did still sign a contract, a lease, for it, right? I know it's family but..."

"Oh, of course," says Pip reassuringly.

Andreas Amell

"Good, good. Sorry, none of my business really, I just..." Dreas musters a grin as he reaches up to rub the back of his head. "Anyway! So you were all friends prior to moving in together?"

"Pip and I were partners," says Cameron.

"And I met Pip through an artist retreat," adds Tadpole.

"Tadpole and I go way back, so far back I know his government name," adds Ezra with a laugh.

"Don't you dare," says Tadpole with the air of one long-suffering but loving it.

"And I met Scott when his studio burned down and he needed a place to stay," adds Cameron. "Someone sent him our way."

"Heidi," confirms Scott.

"Oh yes, can't forget Heidi," agrees Pip. "I've known that girl since I was small."

"I met Heidi through performing," adds Scott.

"I met Heidi through Pip," says Cameron.

Is this what it's like for outsiders around my Clan? That was a lot. "Connections within connections, it seems! And Pip has mentioned their preferred art, but what of the rest of you? I'm afraid I'm still searching for my true medium of expression," he adds sadly.

"Stained glass is lovely," suggests Scott.

"I'm a painter, I'm sure you've already looked into impressionist painting," says Cameron, of the freckles and paint dabs in their hair.

"I still haven't shown you my loom," adds Ezra. "I do a lot of textile arts. Costuming, tapestry..."

"Potter here," says Tadpole.

"I've tried my hand at all but stained glass," Andreas replies, glancing at Scott. "Though, of course, there are dozens and more of styles for each form of art, which means that to say I have truly done them all is folly at best."
