[Diligence]

"'zi? Oh! Yeah, that's what they call them that rule Nyra. They got like a super-sized, super-important town council sort of deal. I think the Founder ones are the ones that helped build Nyra way back." Sweet, innocent Dil is just excited to have remembered the answer, clearly not thinking overly much about why Charon might be asking.

[Charon Tethras]

Charon winces. "Right, so, don't antagonize them."

[Diligence]

"Oh yeah, definitely not," Dil agrees, head bobbing up and down vigorously. "That'd probably go real bad, don't do that, alright?"

[Charon Tethras]

"Noted. Thanks."

[Diligence]

Dil pauses, Charon's tone finally tipping them off that something is amiss. "Hey, is something up?"

[Charon Tethras]

"I almost got arrested today," he says, his tone dark. 

[Diligence]

Dil can't stare at the moment, but he does his damnedest underneath his blindfold.

"Eh?!"

[Charon Tethras]

"That asshole decided, out of the blue, for no reason, that I stole his purse. He called in the guard." A pause. "They strip-searched me." 

Charon... doesn't do nudity. If they're going swimming, he'll wear a two-piece swimsuit, a sort of tank-top piece and a shorts piece that go down to his knees. That's the most Dil's ever seen him undressed. 

[Diligence]

Dil hisses, nostrils flaring, then ducks his head as if-- oh right, Nyra. No teacher or foster parents here. Weird. "Did-- You're not okay but I don't smell blood or-- or anything else. So, uh, how okay are you?"

[Charon Tethras]

"They didn't cut me or anything. But they did a cavity search."

[Diligence]

Dil's head cocks to the side. "How do you hide something as big as a coin purse inside your teeth?" 

[Charon Tethras]

Charon shifts, uncomfortably. "What? No, like... you know... they looked up my... uh... you know."

[Diligence]

I do not. "Oh! Uh, sorry. That's really messed up," he says quickly. Maybe Joy can explain it? Wait, no. Hrrm. Maybe Father Lelldorin?

[Charon Tethras]

"Yeah," he says, relieved he doesn't have to explain more. "It's so fucked up. Just because I'm a catfolk, doesn't mean I'm a thief. But he blamed me like, instantly."

[Diligence]

"Oh, so he was one of those types. Ugh."
