The Black Dirge [Sci-fi]

Zee shakes her head "Not your fault. I also missed it, and I could see better than you in that environment."

[Hitoshirenu Shourai]

The poor girl covering her eyes stays silent, having no idea what to think or say or do or anything. In her acceptance and embarrassment, she has little available space left in her brain to process much else.

Siegfried nods. "Still..." he shifts his weight, looking at his feet. What shall I watch tonight... he muses, pouring over his anime collection mentally. Something cute, I think, to take my mind off this whole mess.

[accalia]

'We'll do better next time. it's only a failure if we don't learn from it." Zee states, turning to face Siegfried directly, the towel around her waist starting to slip slowly.

[yamikuronue]

He catches sight of the slippage, blushing as he takes a step toward the hall to his bunk. "Ah, uh, heh, of course," he stammers, clearly avoiding looking at the towel.

Kenji clenches his right fist and places it in his other hand. As he looks up to Zee and Siegfried from where he had sat down, he comments confidently, "Damn right we will..."

Once upon a time, Zee's state of dress might have bothered him, but eh.... it's Zee. Zee is Zee and always does as Zee does. Nothing to get fussed over. People read into things too much in weird ways sometimes, he tends to think. He glances over in Kimiko's direction.

[Hitoshirenu Shourai]

"C...Clothes..." she quietly stammers out in Zee's direction, still covering her eyes.

"They're still drying." Zee answers Kimiko evenly, believing she was asking where they were. "Good work team. we din't do the best we could have, but that's what training's for. we'll do better next time because we had today."

Morden took the time to avoid staring at anything directly at anything on Zee. "R-right. We should do good. Can we not do this in the hall without clothes on?" They seemed somewhat uncomfortable with the display, which might explain why they always seemed to avoid Zee whenever she was heading from the gym. Maybe to avoid another awkward eyefull?

Zee shrugs at that, catching the towel at her waist before it slips completely off. "Well, sure i guess. The only order i have to give right now is.... Squad, dismissed!"

And with that Zee walks off down the hall towards her quarters. she has a dry bra there and a shirt and pants to change into. Why do the men seem to care about that anyway?

Kenji pleasantly waves to Zee as Zee walks down towards their quarters. He briefly considers arguing with Morden finding this oh so awkward, but... eh... doesn't matter. Morden can find whatever they want awkward..... well.... just so long as it doesn't cause a problem if for some strange reason Zee ends up topless during a mission. That.... seems unlikely to come up as an issue in any case, Kenji thinks to himself.

He leans back a little and stretches, looking between Morden and Kimiko.

Kimiko awkwardly stands there with her eyes covered until she's sure Zee is out of view, and even then, she waits. "I-Is she gone...?" She asks whomever is willing to answer, clearly uncomfortable.

Morden sighed. "Yeah, she's gone." They shrugged a little. "Don't know why she does that, but at least she had pats on this time." Though, as far as Zee should know, Morden didn't really specify either way, though the assumption might be sound, considering they also avoided looking at her naked.

Kimiko breathes a sigh of relief, lowering her arms, and looks to Morden, feeling a twinge of pain where she took the injury away. It barely registers on her face, but if someone were looking closely enough they might notice. "Umm..." she began, fidgeting, "H-How are you feeling?" She points on herself to where Morden was injured, a slightly pink spot that stands out on her pale skin.

"Alright. Kinda tingly, but that's probably from running and adrenaline." Morden looked down a little. "Right...sorry I didn't try and run back for you. Kinda figured it was gonna be a trap and that you'd probably be fine." And wasn't at all about not wanting to have Shinigami breathing down their neck. "But hey, you made it farther than I did the first time through a training exercise."
