T gives her a flat look. "A day? It's been like a week."

She then shakes her head. "Doesn't matter. Where's my dad?"

She muttered something that was..definitely not a language she was used to. "A week?! On no no, that's much too long. How did you even manage with a Pulse stone for that long without any instruction?!" Oh...she apparently is a bit distraught, as well as not having heard anything past 'a week'

T snarls, lifting her knife. "My dad. Where is he? You were the last one who talked to him."

"Your father?" She looks at her carefully. "Ah...then you ARE that brutish man's daughter. I thought as much, but I figured he would recognize the Pulse Stone and have something of an idea what happened." Mordrianna gave a sigh. "If you have not seen him, then he was probably taken by the same men that attempted to abduct myself and the Pu-"

~It's a little rude to talk about someone when their right here.~ That caused her to pause a second time. "It can already speak...you must have had a VERY busy few days. If you will put the knife down, I think it would be best if we all talked."

Dammit, Crystal! "No, what were you about to call him? That sounded important." She does, begrudgingly, lower the hand with the knife to hang at her side.

~What? So I should act like I'm not here. Remind me which of the two of us actually has memories from over a week ago?~

Mordrianna gave a nod. "He? Hmm...I would have assumed...anyway, he is a Pulse Stone...actually it would me more accurate to call him a Pulse Conductor. When properly paired with certain people, they can use Pulse in many different ways to help maintain the City as well as the Citizens." Well, that was a good amount of important sounding words. "I had thought to either explain or retrieve it the following day, but it appears I was unprepared for how far your Fate swings, young one."

"...This shit is pulse?" she asks, slowly. "I warned you, good shit doesn't happen to me."

"You did, but it was more the fact that you survive your bad turns that was needed. You have a Fate to suffer adversity and hardship, but to always persevere. Without that, there was a very high chance that I would have died in that attack or in my sleep here." She gave a small sigh. "And as I'm sure you've come to discover, my Fate is to see the truth of the world around me. Though that would explain why you've been able to use the Pulse Stone to the point of it being able to move as well as unweight memories."

~No I mean...Shit, I don't remember anything before I started talking to you, but SHE does!~

"Seeing the truth, huh?" she asks, softly. "What good is that? The truth is an ugly bastard." She shakes her head, growing more angry. "Persevere? This is what you call perseverance? You can keep my damn Fate too. See how you like being homeless and alone."

"Nothing of your Fate says that you would be homeless and alone. Nothing of your Fate says that you have to remain in such a state either...granted, like your father, your path seems to utterly deny being read." She gave a small, exasperated sigh. "He's probably been taken for some time, but without a path to read, seeing someone's future becomes even more difficult.

T scowls. "He and you are at the heart of this whole mess. What were you two doing?"

"Arguing mostly. He was sure that some things that people took as fact had to be false and I assured him that it was not, but that the system itself had problems that needed to be addressed. He was also fairly sure that I was one of those problems and that he would figure out what was really going wrong with the city." Mordrianna stifled a yawn.

T scowls. "What things?"
