And so, down the stairs the pair go!

Sam, now that he has lost the guards attention and seeing his.... friends? hmm.... yeah that will do for now.... and seeing his friends go down the stairs at the other end of the hall, lopes down the stairs, hoping to be able to cross to the opposite stairs and rejoin them on the next floor down.

Thankfully, they only had to go down a flight before the card indicated for them to head onto the floor. Sam comes back out of the stairwell just in time to see the two of them turn a corner a little down the hallway from them.

From the little bit T could remember from being here before, this floor shouldn't be much more than some operating rooms and waiting rooms. Why the hell was the card taking them here?

Sam doubles down on the speed to catch up, moving from a brisk jog to a concerted run. This place has too many twists to let them get out of sight again...

And it leads all three of them to a pair of wooden double doors, an odd sight in a hospital, with a gold placard that said "Cathedral" on it. Probably a place for the Followers of the Path to have some solace when they were here...and this was definitely the place, as the entire card border was now a light blue.

Erika pauses only briefly before reaching up to push the doors open.

Sam catches up with the ladies at that moment, he's breathing a little heavily but is far from being out of breath. "Sorry, that plan was rather suboptimal." He whispers in greeting and apology.

The doors open into a very surprisingly quiet room with three pairs of pews going along either side of the room.. They made a small path from the door to a small podium, behind which was a wall with a very nice mural depicting people walking along a golden path that lead to what looked like a city. It was probably supposed to be the Golden Path that takes you to New Avalon, where you would be Welcomed.

It would take being a few steps in before noticing that there was someone sitting in one of the front pews with their head bowed.

Erika strides blatantly toward the person with a cheery, "Hi!"

T hangs back. This is a bad plan. This is a fucking chapel. She doesn't want to enter. It's not likely she'll find solace here, after all. And disturbing someone... no way. They're probably in mourning.

There was a soft chuckle and then a voice that T would recognize as the fatespinner they had been looking for. "I see you seem much more upbeat than I expected. That is a pleasant surprise. Could the young miss by the door please close it. Privacy is a rare thing for me to have."

Sam steps inside the chapel, not wanting to be left out as the doors are closed. He's also mirroring T's expression at Erika's effervescent attitude... Is this really the right setting?

Erika nods, holding out the card. "I solved your puzzle." she says, proudly.

[CalamityJade]

"I see that." She turned to Erika, smiling a little. "I had hoped that you would." She reached and tapped the card, a small spark cracking for a moment before the card flashed blue and then the edges became white. "Have you been fairing well? I believe this is the first time that we've met. Mordrianna, Fatespinner of... well, that's not important."

Erika makes a small, sour face. "Well enough," she says, trying to cover for her gaffe.
