CalamityJade

And currently those second pairs of eyes were feeling a little tired...which was around the time that the waitress came buy. "Need anything else?" The place was actually pretty nice. Even had one of those sandwich counters if you were getting peckish while taking your coffee.

yamikuronue

"No, I'm fine, thanks," she says, waving her hand a bit, eyelids drooping. It had been a long day, after all...

Hammer Sister

"You're looking a little tired; I think you should have something to perk you up a bit," Rob suggests. It's also a little early to be getting tired...

And then the murders began.

CalamityJade

"Well, if you insist." As she turned, something dropped onto the table. She was actually rather quick on getting herself away from the table..and now that Rob thought about it, she seemed a tad nervous. Also, since the note was addressed to 'Rob' there was a good chance that it was for him.

Erika still felt a little bit of a haze, but she did notice that there was some silverware left on the table. Dull butterknife left from when the last patron had gotten something, obviously. She should remember to give it to the waitress before they left next.

yamikuronue

Idly, barely aware she's doing it, Erika picks up the butterknife.

Hammer Sister

Curious... and concerning; I never gave the waitress my name, and yet...

Rob picks up the note to read, keeping an eye on Erika, who appeared to him to be running on autopilot. Which would be fine, if she wasn't reaching for a knife.

And then the murders began.

CalamityJade

It was a rather dull knife, so there was probably not a lot of risk. The note, however, was a lot less subtle. 'Leave the Roidmets out. Or Else'. Well, now there was a genuine threat. The note was hand-written, but it seemed to just be on normal paper and done with a pencil. Hard to take that seriously.

Erika felt that rather familiar feeling as if things were going out of focus and hazy. Her hand moves on it's own. She gets a rather good hold on that knife and holds it a little over her wrist.

Hammer Sister

We've not moved against the Roidmets; we've simply been asking... what's Erika doing with that knife‽

Rob hastily pockets the note, then reaches across the table to gently but firmly hold Erika's wrists apart.

"Erika? Are you OK?" Rob asks quietly, trying his best not to alarm the other customers.

And then the murders began.

CalamityJade

She seemed rather determined...and a bit stronger than he expected. She also still looks rather dazed and barely there.

Hammer Sister

Shit, she wasn't fucking kidding about something trying to kill her! Need to get the knife out her hand...

Rob alters his grip on the arm holding the knife; wrapping his thumb and forefinger around the wrist at the end of the radius and ulna, he squeezes firmly, aiming to force the hand to open and drop the knife.

"Erika, snap out of it!" he hisses quietly.

And then the murders began.

CalamityJade

As soon as the knife falls from her hand, Erika would feel like she'd nodded off for a second. The clanging of the knife brought a couple people's attention to the booth, some of which seemed to have assumed what was going on and were giving Rob dirty looks.

yamikuronue

Erika blinks a few times, catching herself a bit. "Wha--- sorry, I seem to have... why are you grabbing me?"

Hammer Sister

"You were about to cut your wrist with a butterknife," Rob explains quietly; he releases Erika and moves the knife out of her reach. "And we appear to have attracted some unwanted attention; I think we should find somewhere less public to talk."

And then the murders began.

yamikuronue

Erika stares at his hands, paling. "I... alright. yes. Let's... let's go."

CalamityJade

Erika would remember that it had been a few days and she was bound to be close to a 'charge up'. Which is what Mr. Harrox had said when she'd suddenly having these 'episodes'.
